The set is what 6 months or more out?

As with ALL Crypto licenses, why not wait until it's closer before discussing the lack of content?

I'm pretty sure locking down his autograph is priority #1 for the Woodbury set, and I wouldn't be surprised at a pleasant update in the near future. With any luck, we'll have two versions of the Gov; one without the eyepatch, the other with.

Think positive!

Who says both sets will have 9 signers?

one would think Penny would've been a lock for the just released big bang set ..

You raise a good point, one we should all be familiar with at this point; assuming anything is dangerous. I assumed much about the recent James Bond set and was pretty disappointed with the actual product.

That being said, this particular set is a "different animal". A Walking Dead S3 set minus Morrissey's auto would still sell (albeit with more than a few grumbles), but a Walking Dead S3 WOODBURY-SPECIFIC set without his auto could possibly be fatal for the product, as he "was" Woodbury.

Cryptozoic knows this, and that's why I'm convinced they are doing whatever it takes to get him to sign.

Let's not forget something: you can't *force* actors into signing autos for you. They have to agree to do it.

It's also in each company's interest to sign the biggest names of a given series/season. Getting big names sells more product. Why would they not try to get everyone they can? To think that they're not doing their best to get all of the pertinent actors seems foolish at best.

I would like to think everyone knows this, but the tone and sentiment seems to imply the contrary.

Not the same thing.

1: Penny was an existing character from the beginning of the show. The governor is a new character in season 3.

2: Cuoco has signed before.

Penny was not from the beginning of the show. She was the Governors daughter. You may be thinking of Sophia

and you might be thinking of a completely different show than what they are talking about. Penny is a character on Big Bang Theory played by Kaley Cuoco.

I would only be worried if we are 2 months from the release date and someone hasn't signed an autograph contract with Cryptozoic. Otherwise, freaking out that someone isn't on the autograph list when the product is 6 months away and not even available for pre-sale is a bit premature.

That's the story for EVERY Cryptozoic product now.
