In the Elias scene, I heard Oliver Stone saying there should have been blood packs popping off on Wilem Dafoe but they shorted and never went off.

Scene was so emotional, he left it in the movie. So Elias was taking rounds, which would have made the scene that much more dramatic and emotional.

Absolutely 100% one of my all time favorites! Still brings chills to my spine when I see it! The music, the way the narrator reads it, the pictures, the scenes being set.
This is what you see at the very beginning of the movie(which a lot of people think was corny....and I tend to agree somewhat although I do like it in spite of that.
