Unhappy Sad Knick Fan Thread

We need a safe place. What a year. As many times as I was teased about it I left my signature up. 42-40. Boy was I wrong. I figured a healthy Melo, improved Porzingis, Rose with something to prove for a better contract and vets like Jennings, Lee, O'Quinn, Thomas etc could at least be .500 in the East.

WRONG!

It seems Porzingis can't really grow past a certain point with Melo there. In fact, you can argue he has picked up some bad habits falling in love with the top of the key 3 and not being anywhere near the rim at times. The raw talent is undeniable. Jennings is gone, Rose I pray will be gone and we are basically at a stand still. The Noah deal was the biggest disaster we could imagine.

Who do you guys want in the draft? Assume we pick around 5-7. We can't even tank well beating Chicago last night, lol.

Don't worry we can all vent here.

Love your passion dude. I've been there. Hold strong. The lottery is almost here.... you have a pick. There are lots of amazing points guards. You've seen worse times.

Be strong.

Porzingis took a big step back on D. Maybe because he saw team was going to the lottery or something but he was great as a rookie and this year not so much. You should hope for Fox thats a great 5-1 Defensive big and guard combo. Phil will somehow get the big Markkanan in the draft though and think thats a good combo with porzingis.

Assuming you pick in the 5-7 range I'd say Fox Or Dennis Smith Jr. and if you get either consider it a steal. Fox is a John Wall type of point guard while Smith is Westbrook with a better shot. If I had the #1 pick I'd take Smith and he is falling down mock drafts because he couldn't carry a terrible NC State team, while Fultz gets off for being on a bad Washington team and not playing the last month and a half.

I like the Fox kid a lot and Monk if we fall down a little further since we can't seem to lose all of a sudden against teams fighting for the playoffs.

Worst part is it's likely to continue next year too. Neither Melo or Jackson wants to leave.

Please do not say the Celtics. I was told by a knicks fan that the celtics offered the next two nets first rounders for melo but the knicks said no.

There's absolutely no way they would have turned that down.

He actually said something to the effect of "negotiations for Melo begin at two firsts".

Now, these two Nets picks are probably going to both be lottery picks. I am not sure that Melo is worth two lottery picks. I definitely do not see him being worth a top five pick and a lottery.

Worth it or not. No team will give it up. The Knicks have absolutely no leverage in dealing melo. At this point it should be about addition through subtraction. Burn it down anyway you can and hope zinger hasn't picked up to many bad habits.

This is the truth. It's like when the Red Sox traded Carl Crawford and Josh Beckett. They had to give up Adrian Gonzales but it was still a net gain in the long run. I truly want the Knicks to be good. I so desire a Celtics-Knicks rivalry. I went to MSG a few years ago when the Melo Knicks were at their peak. It was electric. My question to the fans of the orange and blue, is it about building from here or about getting rid of Jackson and the building?

Knicks fan here too, but I only want one thing at this point, and that's Melo gone. I appreciate him as a player and even as a Knick, but that doesn't take importance over the team.

Maybe I'm easy to please.

Look, it is an impossible situation because you have a front office and star player problem and they are on like the exact same time-frame. I would love a Knicks/Celtics rivalry and the games in the Big 3 era were awesome. I think all Knick fans would want to just blow this up and rebuild around Zingy but it just isn't going to happen so I'd like to draft a great (modern) PG who can score and not come in timid and scared. I don't mind Hornacek but he's basically doing what Phil wants at this point and that just sucks.

I think Melo is a great guy and great scorer but at this point we have so much to do to be contenders we can't keep him. He holds back guys from feeling like it's their team and by the time we would contend with him hanging around he'll be like 36/7. Time for everyone to move on.

What a disgraceful weekend to be a fan. You have articles all weekend where it shows how much Phil was trying to undermine Hornacek. I feel bad for Jeff because while he's a little soft spoken he almost brought a mediocre Suns team to the playoffs in the West and we did have a good start this year until a little losing game, AWOL Rose and then things just came off the rails.

There is a hope though. We will get a top 7 pick. I'm hoping at this point for Monk since Fox and the top guys will be gone.

Knicks fan or not, all of this is cringe-worthy to watch. Phil has lost his damn mind.

I hated the 90s bulls... A Knick fan lol. Can you imagine having a flawless career record. 2 titles as a player 11 as a coach and then coming back to where you started just to cause drama and tank. Damn Shame
