What’s buzz-worthy: Once again, Panini America’s first NASCAR release of the new year will be Donruss with it including a wide array of inserts and throwback nods — a mix that will include the memorable 1985 Donruss baseball design applied to the stars of racing.

The Basics: Each hobby box will include 12 insert cards and nine base set parallels atop the hits. … Among the hits will be Rubber Relics autos with ink and tire pieces on cards with parallels ranging from just 25 copies down to 1/1s. … The same parallel format will be in play for Signature Series, Significant Signatures and Studio Signatures, while Retro Signatures may not have the parallels. … Among the inserts will be Slingshot cards, which will be very rare pulls, along with Elite Series and Retro 1985 cards that will have variations with nicknames and photo changes among the possibilities. No other details on inserts or a glance at the base set design have been released at this time but will be added in any later updates right here. … Packs carry a suggested retail price of $2.99.
