Arrow 76ers will make the playoffs this year...

The Redick signing is huge. If they can't make the playoffs in the east then they need a new coach. Too much talent. If embiid and simmons are healthy they should get 40 wins this year which will be good enough for a low seed in the Easy.

They will.

The East sucks, but they are def gonna be in the mix as long as they are healthy

Amir Johnson or Taj Gibson would be a nice addition. Did I mention I think they should trade Okafor?

Gerald "I think I'm Kobe" Henderson was cut, which is addition by subtraction. Last year's 1st rounder, Furkan Korkmaz will be a Sixer. Should be an interesting season. They need at least 2 more decent vets, IMO.

If they are healthy, yes a playoff team.

On top of all the big name young guys, this team has a good amount of depth.

JJ Redick making $23M for a year of NBA hoops. What a country!

Sixers are gonna be fun as hell to watch next year.

As long as embid and Simmons stayed healthy all season they were going to make the playoffs regardless. The redick signing only helps the cause. Not only that he will help in the locker room with his verteranship. Good signing by the sixers.

It's such a big if that Embiid stays healthy, and it's an if for if Simmons is any good, I don't see it, not this year anyhow.

They count on Embiid but if Simmons, Fultz, Saric, Redick and some solid young role players are healthy they should make and 8th seed. IF Embiid can stay on the court they could be very good.

Didn't Philly play + 500 ball when Embiid played? Surely they up his games this year. Plus the additions. Hmmm, they should make the playoffs and I hope they do, but it's not a guarantee.

I'm looking forward to watching them play. Should be fun.

Playoffs in the East...probably. They can have Chicago's spot.

the 76ers are loaded. if they make a few more perfect moves like this Redick signing, they should be a top 2-3 seed in the east within 2 years, and will easily make the playoffs this season.

perfect moves would be things like: luwawu 6th man, cutting ties with covington if needed, trading okafor for the right veteran or finding him a proper role

this team is stacked. gonna be so much fun to watch how it shakes out. also- will make playoffs regardless of whether or not embiid is healthy. but will need 1 of embiid or simmons to stay healthy for the entire season. they r going to be very hard to guard and they have a lot of plus defenders

Some of those lottery picks they drafted several years ago that haven't played due to injuries must be about ready to be FA's and sign max contracts?

Could be another GSW situation where they sign some of these injured players back for peanuts and they turn out to be stars.

yes... hes a perfect fit for this team. the money is irrelevant. its a one year deal. it doesn't effect anything but this year. now if they could've gotten better players to fill this role and the money is hindering that process, that would be an issue. but that isn't the case.

Yeah. The East is garbage. Assuming Embiid plays at least 50 games next year, they should be a shoe in with all the new additions.

I agree in this case.

SG has always been one of Philly's weakest spots. Which is why I thought Lavine would have been the perfect fit.

They needed a veteran presence that could provide consistent outside scoring (Cov is anything BUT consistent). May seem expensive on the outside, but Philly's starting salary is so ridiculously cheap due to their acquisition of lottery picks that auditioning Reddick for a year even at 23 mill makes all the sense in the world.
