Nets pick makes it a clear win for Cleveland, but I think short term Thomas makes them worse.

Isaiah has always been one of the top points per minute scorers in the league even back when he was with the Kings coming off the bench. All he does is get buckets.

Biggest concern is his health. Otherwise, he will score. And score a lot.

Seems like a strange trade for Boston. Kyrie can be a free agent in 2019 right? Gave up IT, Crowder AND a high pick. I guess if they win it all in the next two years its worth it.....of course they won't win based on how good the west is.

Depends on his hip. If he's 100% and the coaching staff can figure out how to use Crowder effectively I think they are a better all around team for the 17-18 season. Lots of "ifs" there though.

Disagree, I'd much rather have Kyrie than IT. Downgrade defensively (which is hard to do at that point), I think downgrade offensively as well. Crowder is nice, but this trade doesn't make them better than Golden State, either.

Irving thrilled w/ joining Celtics and they'll have great chance to eventually re-sign him. Boston made deal with strong belief he'll stay.

FINALLY was have something to talk about in here!!

I don't like that the Celtics gave up what will be a high pick, but otherwise seems ok. Cavs did well here, especially if Lebron leaves.

As a Warriors fan I'm happy. Steph is going to have a field day with IT.

I understand that but in Boston and even with Sac, the ball would never leave his hands. This would/should not happen in Cleveland alongside Lebron and Love. Hopefully other parts of his game will show up.

This seems like a win for Boston. I would take Kyrie over IT anyday. Crowder is alright, but Boston can use that money elsewhere. I think this makes Boston a favorite over Cleveland on paper. This also gives Cleveland the option to bail on IT if Lebron leaves.

Something tells me it's Kyrie Steph will see in the Finals, not Thomas. Don't forget the Celtics also added Hayward. These Celtics are going to be a very strong team, especially come playoff time.

I just don't see how Boston won this trade. Cleveland added depth and a pick next year for a guy who wanted to leave. Boston loses a big when they are already short handed and their best defender. They may of got Hayward but also lost Bradley this offseason.

Unfortunately, seems like we always see this kind of projection every year...with the same result. Last year it was the Wizz.

Don't get me wrong, I like the direction the Celts are taking and Tatum and Brown seem like the real deal, but this is essentially a completely rebuilt squad with mixed pieces all playing their 1st year together. It's not happening this year, especially not when the Cavs still kept a big 3 in tact and added a tad bit of depth. And they still have the best player in the East by a wide margin.

In the 2011 draft Kyrie was the #1 pick......Isaiah Thomas was the 60th pick in the 2nd round in 2011 and is now on his 4th team..

The only thing that Ainge really gave up is a 1st round pick and 2 2nds.

Looks like Ainge got the better end of the deal to me.

That's cute. IT looked like a 60th pick last year when he made the all star team.

It sounds great and all but it's not a sure fire franchise player. Ala Anthony Bennett.

As long as IT's hip is fine, hes gonna ball out next year. Its maxing him out that will be the issue and he is not gonna age well. Love the dude but you arent paying him 30-40 mil a year when hes 33+

Crowder will be loved in Cleveland too.
