Default Will Phil Jackson ever come back to coach?

In the NBA? If so which current team is the best fit for him?

Sixers or an already loaded team.

He could do it all.

No. His recent shenanigans with the Knicks showed his intentions.

But that is completely different, he had his hands tied up with having to deal with Melo.

We are talking about coaching now.

Even if a team wanted him, I dont think his body can handle the travel schedule of coaching a team.

lol trust me, Melo might hog the ball and slow down the game, but he was far from a problem. That was ALL Phil. He'll never coach again, he doesn't want to work that hard.

Given what happened with Melo, he's probably getting into George Karl territory in terms of player trust.

Add on that the dumbass was trying to trade Porzingis in the days before he was fired, and that should be proof enough that the old man had lost his mind. He'll never have another NBA job.

Was he really though? I never saw any offer. Looked like a bit of a beat up after Zinger walked out without having his exit interview.

Phil drafted Porzingis against almost everybody else's opinion. The best thing to happen to NY since Ewing. Ok and maybe the Melo/Amare pairing for that one good season.

And no centrelink, he'll never coach again.

Yeah it's mostly likely a rumour created by media at the time to try to get rid of Phil. Heard nothing about the trade.

Like I said Phil has a way better drafting record than that bum, owner of the Charlotte Hornets.

The Porzingis trade talks were reported by Woj

As we know, that man is hardly ever wrong.

Still not seeing any offers?

Like I said, all smoke and mirrors to show him who's boss. Not 1 legitimate offer came out of it. Which is shocking for that kind of talented young player.

Still doesn't deny the fact that Phil drafted the Zinger which is one of the best moves they've made since Ewing.

You don't have to have any offers to have a guy on the trade block. The fact he made him available is the issue.

No. His health and age were an issue as an executive. There's no way he could handle the day to day rigours of being a coach again.

There is nothing pointless with this topic and I've seen much worse topics being discussed on here. This is an open ended forum so everyone has their right to express their ideas and opinion. If you don't like it just ignore.

i think if he wanted to come back for about 5 mil per year, some team would probably be interested. in reality he would probably want 15 mil per year and only coach home games. either way though its 99.9% sure he'll never coach again. if he didnt have medical issues, apparently, he probably wouldve still been coaching and never done the knicks gm to start with. he obviously wants the most money possible, but at this point for him he would be coming back more for just the adulation and the fact of wanting media attention again, and to be in the swing of the nba again, i dont know how much he misses that now, or how much he will miss it in another 1-3 years.

Read a few posts above.

It was more of a media frenzy about the Zinger being traded. A lot of teams would have called. Woj would have found at least 1 offer surely?

I call BS by the media, probably to help get rid of Phil.

Lota of reports that LMA wasn't happy in SA and that he was on the block. Not one actual trade offer surfaced and not one shred of evidence aaying he was unhappy.

The media need to keep attention during the offseason.
