Better yet, put a redemption for 1 Dog Turd in there, or a Turd Points Card. Collect enough Turd Points and choose from 100's of old dog turds from photos on the website*

*of course, you'll need to setup a turd points website, I can help if you need it.

I'm not sure that all this piling up on Panini is well deserved. They did have redemption programs for previous flagship Donruss releases so I knew better not to toss away the wrappers.

I love how 90% of the blowout comments are just bashing Panini.

Late is still better than never on a Wrapper redemption. Not like Topps hasn't done these and then told the people who sent in after 48 hours tough luck.

I'm not bashing Panini and I actually enjoy opening a few boxes of Donruss, but I am upset that this was told to the consumer a week late. This could have been mentioned the day of release. It's not like they didn't know they were going to do this.

I might also be even more upset because I literally put them out in the trash this morning before going to work...

My garbage day is Thursday thankfully.
I'll be digging in the garbage when I get off tonight.
Better late than never.

Cool, I still have the wrappers from my one box. Looks like those will go out tomorrow to Panini

There is, it should be out this week or next. Going by the article, I assume this applies to both hobby and retail, since they mentioned the retail release and didn't specify.

I'd hope, unless I've missed it already, they note what is possible in these redemption packs. I'd be interested to chase something depending on what's available.

I ripped about 12 boxes and would have never thought to save my wrappers. Very disappointed that with all that money I spent I now have no opportunity for the added bonus because the program was announced a week after release! Makes no sense, Panini sold out of the product the day it released so there is no second wave of cases being shipped out. Just another way Panini (and all card companies) figured out a why to piss on the consumer! There are more reasons not to like this hobby then to like it anymore!

I have 11 boxes with the wrappers still sitting in them because I'm too lazy to throw stuff out. Are people sending them in one package? And if so what's everyone using to send them in?

I learned my lesson after 2015, saved the wrappers back then too. I believe Donruss Basketball also had a redemption program that year too. Actually while the timing isn't the best, it is still boatloads better than 2013 Allen and Ginter when Topps hid secret Super Short Prints inside the box lid without telling anyone. I cannot imagine how many short prints and autos were tossed.

I just rubber banded them and stuck a post it note on it saying how many wrappers there were. Let them figure it out. What a job that has to be for some poor schlub. Also I put them all inside an old Topps Heritage box and taped it up and put it in a large bubble mailer. LOL

I agree with you, Topps A&G was a joke too! But if I remember right wrapper redemptions were always announced on the wrappers when I was a kid. I just don’t understand the idea of announcing a week later. I would be fine with announcing early or day of and missing out because it was first come first serve and I was too slow. But not having a chance at all is absurd!

There was not a mention of there being an issue for retail wrappers. That's the route I'll take.

We need to start saving our wrappers a few months before throwing them away.

How the hell do you announce a wrapper redemption program after the product has already released? And for several days at that. I mean its cool they're doing one, but man. I guess still better to have one and announce it a little late than not have it at all. Essentially a free bonus if you were gonna open 24+ packs anyway. I'm sure some breakers will be happy about this.

What's the benefit to the company? They recycle and reuse?

I'm sure the intent of the delayed announcement is to refresh interest in the product after the initial week of ripping.

How many more people will decide to pick up one more hobby box or some blasters now that a redemption program is released?

Not that hard to figure out the benefits to the Panini brand here...

Looks like Panini wants to reward people who are lazy and don't take out the trash.
