I've had the same issues. I sent in a 5 day to PSA before the holidays, it took over a week for them to receive it and they posted the grade at the end the 10th business day.

I sent BGS a 2 day package and the cards were graded the same day they were received.

Bgs has guaranteed turnarounds, 5 day with BGS means 5 days or its free. Also means 5 days from when they receive the package, not 5 days from when they feel like checking it in.

Took 2 weeks longer for this psa 5 day than my bgs 10 day which was sent same day.

They must have felt generous though as I did get a 10.

PSA is behind right now. I think a lot of BGS users are using them again after the non-guaranteed turnaround time has become unusable.

Ah, so you didn't tell to slab if authentic? Or are you going to try to sell raw?

I didnít see an option when I filled out submission form online. Not sure what Iím going to do with it yet. Only traded around $1400(sell value) worth of cards for it!

Yeah, you have to put that instruction in the comments. I started doing that with all my submissions.

I sent Mays to SGC to get it slabbed authentic. I like the look of Vintage in the SGC cases!

When it concerns vintage (old school) cards...SGC and PSA are the way to go.

Nice Mays!

I made another bad decision by sending 5 more cards to PSA for 5 day service($50/card). Cards arrived at PSA on September 14th. I called yesterday and they said it would at least be another week before they entered them into the system. She said they were currently entering cards into system from September 5th! I did make a mistake and forgot to write service time on the outside of the box but have been told that there is only a 2 day difference because of packages not being labeled. So itís looking like it will take at least two months for the 5 days service this time!! The only reason that I sent to PSA this time was because I had a 53 Topps Mantle included in the package.

Was thinking of shipping to PSA at the $50 price per card but reading this thread and the post above mine is making hesitant.

Whaaaat, that's crazy. If that's the case for my sub...back to BGS I go!

I do think that the service time starts when the order is logged. So you not labeling the box--which is a minimum of 2 days when times are good--(but can take a couple extra weeks--as I just found out with my last sub!) was all time that doesn't count towards the service time. Once it's logged, I bet they meet your 5-day service deadline.

None of us really understand what REALLY goes on at these places, but I truly don't understand why it would be such a huge setback to not label the box. How a box--looking like a card order--could be banished from the mainstream of other like orders for WEEKS. I mean...you open it up like all other orders and read on the submission sheet what service it is--like all other orders????

I BET YOU ANYTHING...that they open the checks that come in from their sponsors the day they receive them whether the sponsor writes the amount the check is for on the outside of the envelope or not!

Yup, pretty discraceful on their part. Processing and logging time should count towards the 5 days. If they are backed up that should be their problem, but instead they make it our problem. No idea how they continue to get a way with it. As backed up as BGS is at least they get that part right, so it shows it is possible to log orders in a timely manner.

The worst part is after all that, 3 of your cards will come back undergraded and the other 2 will be altered or miniszrq. Got to keep their precious pop report low!

......that is unless you spend thousands a year with them.

I sent a 5 day order to BGS at the same time as a 20 day PSA order - BGS was received, graded and showed up at my door 2 hours before I got the order received email from PSA lol

Ok, so my "Express" submission dropped off at the Philly Show last weekend is in their system as "processing" as of today.

Does the clock start today or tomorrow? I guess I can't rely on 5 or 8 business days as the number since it's "not" guaranteed?

All dates are approximate business days.

I sent in a 5 day BGS sub that showed as graded a day earlier than it was supposed to. Say what you want about BGS but they meet their guarantees and i'll continue to use them. This is the 2nd order that I've had that popped up early since this summer.

I love BGS too, but some of the sale price differences between PSA and BGS makes it worth going to PSA if you know for sure a card is a 10.

Got the results today!
2011 Topps Update Trout PSA 10
2011 Topps Update Diamond Anniversary Trout PSA 9
2018 Topps Chrome Miguel Andujar Red ref PSA 9
1953 Topps Mantle PSA 1 MK
1958 Topps Jim Brown PSA 1.5

So 5 day service is taking around 1 month to complete. I know it went a couple of extra days because I forgot to write on the outside of the package the service days but waiting 2 weeks for order to be entered is unacceptable in my opinion.
