Anyways, onto Lakers discussion!

The loss by Utah gives the Lakers a tie for the 8-spot! Big game tomorrow afternoon against the Bulls!

Well, they play Chicago tomorrow on ABC. Kobe should cause serious problems against Thibodeau's defense, but ultimately Nash's spot up shooting is going to be what breaks the Bulls. As for the end of the season, I see them as an 8 seed sneak in and lose to OKC in 5.

Hopefully GS and the Rockets lose

The Lakers need to win tomorrow, in my opinion its a MUST WIN.

Utah lost and dont look now but Houston is down 10 to the Suns

I really think we need to get to the 6 seed to play the clips or match-up with SA as a 7 seed to have a chance at an upset. I just dont like our chances against OKC in a 7 game series.

6th seed is very real. utah is on a downward spiral. still 20 games left and hopefully they can keep it rolling. can't keep falling behind like they have been though. they need to play way better defense. it's been a hell of a 2nd half of the season though and can't wait for tomorrows game.

As much as I want to see it happen one last time, the Lakers are going to need to get someone quality with their MLE for once. That's how Miami got Allen and Battier. Their bench is crazy weak right now. No athleticism, no strong defenders, no three point specialists, no players who can put up points in bunches.

me too, Im going to have a hard time sleeping tonight waiting on the game haha. its crazy to say this but this has been one of the most exciting seasons I have seen as a fan of the lakers. I know they have under achieved for the most part but as far as the games go every game matters and there is so much at stake, usually they just coast through the regular season and everyone is just waiting on april to get here but not the case this year. I was on the edge of my seat watching Kobe go to work in the clutch last night!!!!

I'd be surprise if lakers don't get in. Pretty easy schedule and Utah has totally fallen apart. 8 seed seems almost for sure. Question I who do the lakers want to play in playoffs. Probably not okc though.

Why do you say it is a must win? we are now tied with Utah with still 20 games left. Utah can not compete with the Lakers on the home stretch

Definitely not OKC. I'd say their best chance is San Antonio, and even then you have to deal with a three point barrage, which has destroyed the Lakers in the past couple years.

yes I think we match up best against SA especially with Pau coming back we can really beat them up inside. Yeah if they get hot from 3 then the series would be over....just seems like we give teams way to many open looks from 3 lately.

I disagree that it is a must win however I think it would be very important to get some momentum before they head out on the road and it is a good measuring stick for how we can compete against a solid playoff team like chicago.
