Default Players Signing Cards

As I wait for a couple Tatum Dominion Redemptions I wonder how the process works.

Does Panini send the cards to the players and then the players send them back or do they have to meet up with Panini?

Tatum has signed for a few products since Dominion. Are those Dominion cards just sitting in his junk drawer for a rainy day?

Do the players have people who coordinate this stuff?

When will I get my damn cards?

Panini sends them to the players. The players and all their family members and friends sign them as the family dog watches. The dog is paid by Panini to be their local representative in charge of verifying each auto is authentic. It's a really good process.

Both ways are used from what I saw/heard. For the former, some players/legends are even great enough at times to upload photos/videos onto their social media accounts.

Nonetheless, without direct witness from company employees, it always leaves room for controversies regarding authenticity.

There authenticity description on the back of panini just sucks. Upper deck was more detailed about where the signings came from....
The autograph is guaranteed by panini America inc...

Even some of the UD stuff was misleading. There's a member here who has served as a player/UD rep at one point, and the process seems to vary depending on the player.

Right but id rather have it say in the presence of a ud representative or sent by the player panini doesn't come close...

Topps Was the best when all autos were signed in person.

I think the process varies. They have sit-down sessions with some guys, others are via mail. Not ideal, but I don't think they're gonna create video logs of every card ever signed.

Bravo!!

I remember seeing a clip from the NFL show with I want to say Eric Davis and Mark Carrier. They both pretty much said, they don't bother signing all the stickers sent to them. They sign some and then give the rest to their agents/handlers and they figure out how to sign the rest.
