Default James Bond 2009 Windshield Relic

I know this might be a stupid question but here it goes. I have one of the 2009 Rittenhouse James Bond Archives Aston Martin windshield relic cards and it starting to look a little ratty, exp the case is scratched up the sticker is starting to peal etc. My question is will it hurt the value of the card if I switched it over to a 360pt mag case or should I leave it in the top loader with the Rittenhouse authenticity sticker still sealed? I want to put it back on display put if I ever want to get rid of I am worried about hurting the resale value. What do you guys and gals think.

Always leave it in the original condition if you ever plan to sell it. If you plan on keeping it, I’d take it out for presentation purposes.

Exactly. If you ever plan on selling it, leave it the way it is.

I usually take them out of the sealed toploaders. The older Rittenhouse incentives don't have penny sleeves in the toploaders so those I always replace. It doesn't hurt the value in my opinion, I don't think people are faking the cards. If I was selling them right at release of the product I could see why you would leave them as is.

It sounds like you'd enjoy it more if it looked good on display, in a shiny mag holder.

Companies ship these things in cheap toploaders just to get it to the first owner protected. If the soft plastic holder is scuffed, and the sticker is peeling, it seems like it's served its purpose up to this point.

What you might want to do, just in case there is some small possibility that you may sell or pass it on later, is keep the toploader with sticker in storage somewhere. Sometimes just having the original packaging is enough to satisfy a new owner.

I really don't get the appeal of the sticker giving a card more value. To me it's more about indicating the card is a case incentive. There isn't a problem with fakes, whats the point of keeping the card in a scratched toploader? The stickers aren't tamper proof.

It's not a certified autograph. I don't think you will take a big hit on resale unless you try to sell it at the same time as a few other people. As somebody else said, won't hurt to keep the original toploaders if you ever do plan to sell (And , maybe a good picture/scan of the card before you take it out).
