Goind to the Nationals with the Howe Property of

I got a pretty good offer earlier that was closer to what I was hoping for but I think I am going to try my luck at the Nationals on Thursday.
Do you guys think there will be some big time hockey guys that might be interested in the card? I was hoping to get at least $3000 or close to it. I think if the Roy went for $4500 (cash & trade) that $3000 is not unreasonable for someone like Gordie Howe.

Thoughts?

HELP!!! Now I have gotten an offer of $2500 and I do not know what to do. I do not know how reasonable it wouldbe to think someone is going to give me $3000 at the show for the card or not. I have until tonight to decide and I think if I get an offer for $2800 or more I am going to take it.
Thoughts??

I was thinking that but I hate counteroffers because if they ignore it then the original offer is gone. I have 6 1/2 hours to decide.

Well then I would take 2500. At the national will someone have 3k cash-in hand to pay for it? There might be as I have never been to the National show. A dealer def would but doubt they would pay that much for the card (but again I am a novice when it comes to hockey).

If you are that stressed over it, take the money and be done with it.

I sold a car once and within one day of listing it a guy calls me and offered me $3000, I was looking for $4000. Well two months later I sold it for $3150. Not worth the extra headache for an additonal $150.

That is what I was thinking. The auction cost $39 to do featured+, The final value fee is close to $100, I am picking up the shipping plus how much to paypal?? I am going to lose close $300-400 after all is said and done.

you wont be out toooooo much... BUT you still have to sweat whether or not the card will

1)get to the buyer
2)get to the buyer undamaged
3) or if the buyer will have any complaints, file a dispute with paypal and F you out of a couple G's.

dump it at the national you're free and clear

Dealer will not give you $3k at a National's they will give alot less. If you meet a fellow collector they pay 3k. Dealers will need to resell don 't forget.

I would counter this guy $2750. This way you come away with $2500. JMO

No way! I would sell to this guy if he accepts $2750 and just ship express with insurance and then you will also be able to track it. Shipping will be around $30 with insurance etc. I shipped my Ovechkin to Canada no problem.

stranger things have happened regardless of how 'secure" the package is when it leaves the buyer. im just sayin, if he dumps it at the national, he wouldn't have to sweat all these potential problems that one normally faces when selling online.

True, but will he find a collector as I don't see dealers paying 3k in cash..

I think he did say someone was meeting him there though. Of course it would be safer. I guess if he doesn't sell it at the show then he could always relist.

I was hoping to get a good enough offer from someone who would be going to the show and then I could avoid shipping and paypal. That is not the case so far.
As of right now I am going to let the auction ride and worst case I have to come home tomorrow night from the show and relist it.

$2780 which covers overnight shipping with UPS.

All said I cleared a little over $2500 for it.
I am still going to the Nationals tomorrow and now I have a few bucks to spend
