Default KAT and T-Wolves possible rift? Trade to Phoenix for #1?

Just saw a Bleacher Report alert saying KAT and the Wolves are not seeing eye-to-eye. Is this a case of his weaknesses being exposed in the playoffs, and the team wondering if they should continue building around him, or he feeling slighted by how Tibs has used him? Should they trade him?

My thought is that they want to build around Butler, have too much money into Wiggins and can't move him for anything worth trading him for so they are stuck with him, and with a huge contract on the horizon for KAT are trying to figure how to make it al fit.

Would still be surprised to see them ship him tho, but man, wouldn't Booker, KAT and josh Jackson together be fun

Yeah, Phoenix would be a nice destination for him if they do.

Trade Wiggins for whatever you can get, sign Redick for as much as he wants. Bolster the bench too.

Then enjoy the good times.

This team was 3rd and 4th for most of the year. Hopefully he stays, but SA would gladly take him

I'm not sure if anyone would take Wiggins and his contract.

It would probably have to be for a salary dump. Idk, like Cleveland giving you a pick and Tristan Thompson, but then you have the same problem as before.

The system run by the wolves is just terrible they aren’t utilising KAT at all he needs to go for his own sake. That contract they gave Wiggins was just bad, although I think Wiggins will get better he’s only 23. But if I were KAT I’d want out too.

I never thought I'd say this cause I've defended him before but it's thibs, he has to go. He's not a great coach for what they have in minny.

and that makes sense how?

Wolves dont need a PG...and Celtics dont need KAT..

once healthy the Celtics would have Kyrie, GH, Horford, Tatum, Brown....

that was the one drawback in getting Butler imo..

Teague wouldve been fine at PG because he doesnt necessarily LOOK to shoot, and you have Wiggins who all he does is shoot...and then shots for KAT, plus whatever Teague decides to shoot

adding Butler made it more it much more complicated..because..he likes to score, and add in all that above

maybe if they staggered it a bit like GS/Houston to where one of the bigger names ran with the 2nd unit would be more beneficial

It makes sense because it is a good return for KAT if he needs to be moved and the Cís, who are chasing a title, get another all-star.

ok..but your obviously ignoring the FIT for both teams...

Wolves dont need a PG...

Celtics dont NEED KAT..and if they do get him, itll just be the same situation now...Kyrie taking a lot of shots..GH getting his..and Brown/Tatum wanting theres..plus KAT..

like..i see your from MA so must be a fan..but you have to realize what a terrible fit that would be right?

Nope, I donít see how it is a terrible fit. Wolves have many needs and they need options before they set their roster. Boston needs a long term replacement for Horford. They rely on him now, but they need a big who can be a go to within the next year or two.

so..whos gonna take a backseat in Boston for KAT to get his?

Horfords not coming off the bench, although hes used sparingly in the offense

you think Kyrie, GH coming back from injury, or the young guns Tatum/Brown or gonna give up shots/usage just to please KAT?

also hes proven to be terrible defensively..how does that fit with the defensive minded coach and team?

and again..the Wolves dont need a PG...a back up sure, but neither Teague nor Schroder is gonna come off the bench..come on..

The feud would have to be with Thibs right? Thibs will be fired before they think about trading KAT.

2 things to point out. 1, I read Minny claims they don't have the cap space for the max deal Towns would require since Wiggins got one and 2, for all the coach problems and his system, if Wolves management thinks keeping Wiggins over Towns is the only card on the table then that's where the source of the problem lies. The guy who sold his Wiggins collection over a year ago said Minny management were hacks and maybe he was right.

So MN would build around Wiggins more than Towns? After last season, that seems wrong.

PG: Payton
SG: Booker
SF: Jackson
PF: Warren
C: KAT

that would be a pretty sweet starting 5. Maybe send Bender and Alex Len (please) to jump up the draft order from their other 16th and 31st picks.

I can't sit through 15 more losing seasons. If the Wolves trade KAT, I'm done.
