LOL @ Vegas Dave. What's funny is the Trout super at 400k could be a great investment down the road. I mean if he does win some more MVPs and a ring or 2 it could be the modern best card possible. But obviously injuries or a dropoff could be a problem.

However, I have heard about a lot of his sales and he seems to overpay for a bunch of cards so unless he somehow moves them at a profit, it's kind of just like a wash.

Guys apparently has obviously been successful in his other ventures. But according to his feeds just started getting into cards last year. Remember the Carr FB card explosion. We can thank him for a large part of that. Guy starts throwing 3x-4x what anyone else was willing to throw out there, people got caught up in the Carr hype. I am sure we won't hear from him about how much money he lost on his Carr venture as of now though. Guy spent thousands, bragging to everyone how he was going to make a fortune. SMH

As for the Trout, 400K is a large sum of money for a guy who is only 26. A lot can happen over the next 5 years. But more power to the guy for taking a chance and paying out his *** for it. I for one am not sure that paying 400K, banking on turning a profit was a wise decision, but then again, he has lots of cash by taking chances.

TBH, I was really a bit surprised when he turned down my offer and an instant 2.5x return. Thankfully, I decided to go with my backup plan at that point. I bought a unicorn instead.

And he 'received' an offer of 300k on the red 9.5/10 even though if I recall correctly it was on eBay for 75k (maybe a little higher I don't remember) when he probably bought it. Add in the get rich quick schemes on his instagram and twitter he seems to be trying to hustle and the below and I wonder what's true / false concerning this sale personally:
