I searched the Hockey Forums for this players name and had nothing in reply...

His first Upper Deck Cards (from UD CHL Hockey) are not going cheap..
He is forecasted by experts to be Top Pick in the 2020 NHL Draft
and he is compared now to be a future Sidney Crosby or Connor McDavid.

so if you are at a card show and see his cards going for a reasonable price.. especially the auto version...

I have managed to snag a dozen or so.. so far..

What do you think would be a "reasonable price" for his CHL base rookie and auto?

I haven't heard of this guy yet, but just checking his cards out now. Those are some pricey CHL cards of his!

Since the product released...he's been pricey.

Some sellers have listed them in bulk lots, or low BINs, so there's a lot of room there.

I know it's not a true comparison, because the brands are different, but look at what McDavid CHL cards go for... don't you think once he's drafted and has NHL cards available that these will drop in value?

just my thoughts

Absolutely.

Of course, he won't have NHL cards for a few more years and if the new CHL license for Upper Deck can create some brand equity...who knows where the CHL brand heads.

That's a valid point too. It'll be interesting to follow

I expect him to be the top pick in 2020, but there's no way I'd pay $200 at this point for a CHL autograph because I'd expect they're at or close to their ceiling. He'll have more next season to water things down a little, and then the following year they'll drop drastically. McDavid is the savior at this point, and even his CHL autos can be found for under $100.

If I could get one now for a great deal, I'd do it but only with the intention of selling it before the drop...I just don't see these junior cards ever catching on as anything more than a niche or something for player collectors to chase.

I have one I got from e-pack, had no idea the Base Star Rookies did so well. Have it up on my COMC port if anyone wants to grab it before they continue to climb in price
