I thought this was a gimme game for LA. One they needed to get.

I didn't get to watch but I like both teams so it would have been a good game.

Edit,

You gotta start getting concerned now. Lakers have taken a step back from last season so far. I'm sure they'll be fine but I'm worried about my bet.

I'd love to see a GS vs LAL first round Playoff series.

Glad to see it happening. Lebron thought he was going to come there and be a savior not quiet working out like he planned.

Dude is gonna get grinded down so much faster on this team. For them to have a chance in hell any game, he has to go into overdrive. Only to flame out in the postseason should they luck into it.

It’s curtains, though I do respect his voice outside of bball. He won’t go down in history among the true greats, but he’s definitely a plus in our society.

7 games in to a 4 year plan. That's a little of an exaggeration, lmao.

Exactly. They are averaging around -5 in their loses. These are not blowouts. This team will look a lot better when they gel. Their biggest weaknesses are the 3 ball and the biggest is interior defense. I see them as a second round playoff team as they stand now. But they are really exciting to watch, I love the energy.

Hay look! BO Groundhogs day!

...it's as....almost if the same folk forgot how their criticisms of the 'early struggling Cavs' went last season....and the season before that.

'Team is putrid...probably won't even make the playoffs.'

'Dude is old, no way his body holds up...he's going to LDAR any second now!'

'Wouldn't be surprised if they make it and get knocked out the first round by the Bucks.'

Always a good chuckle.

We all know chemistry develops overnight. That's just a God given fact.

Same suspects will inevitably fade into obscurity once the ball starts rolling.

Then the same pitchforks migrate back in once playoffs come around and they inevitably get knocked out (like this was some catastrophic surprise).

Look. I'm all in that Jordan is GOAT camp. And Lebron will never meet or surpass him. Never. But the amount of hyperbole in some of these threads is just absurd.

Rinse; repeat.

This team is gonna be fine. They've been in every game they've lost and generally fell apart due to poor crunch time execution, things that are expected of every team that has major new parts. These are games they will be winning later in the season.

Overall, their offense has been outstanding. Once/if they tighten the screws on defense, they'll probably go on a run.

They have too many weapons not to be fine and like people have said, they're in every game.

Have a look at this mouth watering run of consecutive games they have in Jan/Feb though. Must watch viewing.

Vs PHI
@ LAC
@ GS
@ IND
@ BOS
@ PHI
@ ATL
VS HOU
@ NO
@ MEM
VS NO
VS MIL

That is some income coming to the NBA.

The worst part is is just clogs up the boards with unnecessary threads that all contain the same people saying the exact same things they've said 10,000 times already. You open a thread expecting to read about one thing but instead it's all about Lebron. If it was contained to one thread then it wouldn't be so bad because at least then you could just skip over it. In the mean time all the threads that are actually about basketball cards get buried.

The trolling is so obvious but nothing ever happens. I don't get it.

this world is full of a bunch of frightful things, trolling on the internet is the least of this world's problems, so let's all calm down, ignore the trolling, and stop getting crazy mad over it.

Very true. They've played 6 West playoff teams in their first 7 games as a team and they looked fine in every one. Once they get the rotation down and that 2nd unit starts working, they'll be a really good team. And those are their two glaring issues for sure. 3pt shooting and interior defense. Bigs just abuse them. I've liked what I've seen for sure.

Nothing gets done because I’m sure it goes unreported. I try my best to stay out of it now, though it’s hard when I read so much ignorance and pure hate. I wanted to really enjoy this team thread since that use to be a place where the unwritten rule was you don’t troll team threads but the Lebron hate brigade isn’t mature enough for that.

That 2nd unit is just killing them. They need to figure that out.

That first unit with Kuzma/Ball/Ingram/Lebron/McGhee has been dominant. Once they get that second unit gelling they can steamroll teams.

Lol Lebron.

Luka looking pretty impressive. Made 3 critical plays down the stretch to get it tied.

And Deandre is proving that shooting is a matter of work ethic, not talent. (looking@BenSimmons)
