Gruden wants an intense competition in all positions. They'll have to earn there keep. I for one...approve.

Wonder if things would have played out differently if Bill O'Brien was around for Hack's 2nd and 3rd years at PSU

Just curious, what made you decide to prospect him? The pre draft buzz around him was mostly negative if I recall correctly. Did you see something in him that you thought other people were over looking?

Great collection nonetheless.

I saw every game he played as a freshman at penn state. He was a rock star that first year before taking sack after sack the following year

Exactly. As soon as he lost Allen Robinson as his security blanket he looked lost, then the OLine caused him to spend more time on the ground than standing up. Classic case of shell shock

He was always terrible at PSU. The fact he ever got drafted in the first place was amazing.

Fans of Hack! Where will he end up?

Real estate? Car sales? High school coach?

I think he has over 2500 autos he said. While I do feel bad for the guy it does seem kind of foolish to prospect/collect someone to that extreme. You could tell he was still trying to talk Hackenberg up/justify his purchases when the Raiders traded for him with the way he was talking in here.

Not a terrible investment if you think about it. Gets $2500 of them for $1 each or so, even if he amounts to nothing he can still sell them for .75 each or $1 credit to blowout. If he starts a game and wins a few in a row that $2500 could be $10,000 or more.

They aren't completely worthless but there is no way he will get his return unless Hackenberg actually plays somewhere.

He had some very high dollar prizm cards in there that he will probably get 1/10th of what he paid for each if he's lucky.

That $2500 wouldn't be an investment...just what he would be left with after spending roughly 15-20 I would guess.

Do you really think he was getting them for a $1 at the time they were released though? I'm sure Hackenberg's cards were fetching quite a bit more than that at the time they were released. No way can you get a QB who was a 2nd Round Pick Rookie Autos for that cheap who hasn't gone bust yet.
