Yucky. I'll never understand why the pitcher doesn't get charged for earned runs when he commits a throwing error.

Welp, Kenley goes in up 3-1 and gives up a solo homer, then a walk that came around to tie it. Winning run for SD on 2nd base now.

Update:
(Got out of it, but if this was last year, game would already be over.)

Grandal came up big again (after starting the night 0-5) with a 2 run double in the top of the 12th and Farmer followed that up with another 2 run double, for a 4 run lead. Let's see if they can make it stand up this time...

Last few games, Dodgers are starting to show offensive flashes of what made them so good last year.

Jansen is troubling though. Hope he figures it out and hope its not an injury.

Maeda and Muncy with starts tonight, and Joc, too. Team is 7-9 despite averages hovering around .200 from Seager, Taylor, and Puig, and of course, no Turner. The production is coming from 4-5-6 which has been Bellinger, Kemp, and Grandal.
Hopefully, they'll have a big enough lead to (safely) get Kenley some more work...

Dodgers bangin' away tonight. 2 hits apiece for Belli, Grandal, Hernandez, Joc, and Kemp, plus 4 more for Seager, definitely a good sign for him, and new 3B Muncy homered, too. Maeda wasn't especially sharp, but got an easy win. That's four in a row (with plenty of help from the Padres), but this is more like it, and with the hitters certainly, we're seeing flashes of last year's team. Rockies and Arizona both lost today, so the Dodgers made up a game on both teams LA trails. Only down 4 for 1st place now. Hopefully, they'll have totally closed the gap in this next week or two.

Max is tough to beat in LA (and everywhere else). A little part of me is just glad he didn't throw another no-hitter. (I'd love him to against anyone else). Glad to see Kershaw work 7. On a different night, the same effort against a less than all-world pitcher might've picked up the win. That was just the 10th meeting ever between a pair of 3-time Cy Young Award winning pitchers. It's the 1st time the Nationals have beaten Kershaw since 2010 and look what it takes.

Ryu vs. Strasburg tonight. Only Kemp has done well off Stephen. Maybe his can hit another homer or two...

Arizona and Colorado lost yesterday, too, at least, so LA's still on track to restore order...

Belli needs to move to the 8th slot....too many times he leaves players stranded. Watching him strike out every at bat is getting old. If Kemp had played last night (Jocs spot) I believe we would have won. Stranded almost 10 last night no help from offense!

Not writing them off - the season just started and I fully expect them to contend in the West, but really there is nowhere to go but down for LAD after that historic run last year. Alex Wood and Chris Taylor had career years, velocity down for Kershaw and Jansen. Ryu and Maeda usually tax the bullpen, which isn’t nearly as strong with the loss of Morrow and Jansen not close to his form (yet) Seager injured a lot and the power seems to be zapped out, Puig is Puig...Bellinger obviously a great player but pitchers will be very careful. Paging Justin Turner - the MVP of this team

Just need one more win at the end this year. It is very do-able.

Big win tonight. Strasburg should've called in sick like he usually does against the Dodgers. Nice to see Cody blast one on his bobblehead night and Kenley come in for a fairly uneventful finish (one walk that should have been called a strikeout earlier in the count). Ryu is coming through...

Wood was lifted for a pinch hitter in the bottom of the 6th, down by 3. While that hitter popped out, it was nice to see the next few batters come up with 3 runs to get him off the hook. Bellinger's on 2nd with one out. If they can bring him in, Wood's actually in line for the win.
