The price on this is NOT $10,000 for the people breaking it.

This is the MSRP.

I would think the cost would be closer to $8,000-$9,000 for the product. That is what the people breaking this will be paying for it.

GTS did drop the sell sheet this morning, however the product pricing is not yet available so we will see. But it does look like Topps' is using distributors to move at least some of this stuff...

Maybe I'm way off base and still have sticker shock, but I can't find any way no matter how I look at it to justify any value here. I'm mainly basing my assumption on Harrison Ford being the golden ticket.
The cost of a box of masterworks (at release) for a 1:40 chance at the names we've seen so far? Absolutely

Bingo. I'm going to be buying a personal box and still gettting in on some group breaks to acquire in-demand tradebait. People may be salty about it now, but when it hits they will still want them in their collections. Group breaks will be a great way to either upgrade to a better parallel or trade for stuff you might have missed in previous releases.

Assuming Ford is in this, then I think the set is pretty accurately priced at $10k. And $10k is the SRP, many products sell for less than SRP. Does it become a decent value at $8500?

Looking at a breakdown by group of actors based on the assumed signers, I come up with estimated values of:

Original trilogy - $5k (Ford $3k, Hamill/Fisher $500 each, Daniels/Baker/BD Williams/Mayhew $100 each)

Prequels - $1k (Christensen $300-500, McDermid $200-300)

Force Awakens - $2k (Ridley $1k, Driver $200-400, Boyega/Serkis $100 each)

Rogue One - $1k (Jones $500, Whitaker/Yen/Ahmed $100 each)

Animated - $500 (SM Gellar $300-500)

I understand that $10k is a lot to pay, and this set isn't for many of us regular collectors. But I do see the value at $10k. I just don't think it's a good rip/flip, since the value will likely be in the $8-12k range, depending on who your 1/1 and /5 autos are. But I could definitely see 30 or 40 big collectors each buying a set, and the rest selling through group breaks.

Of course if Ford isn't part of the set, then it will be a big flop at $10k.

I also think Topps messed up by not including a base unsigned set. A super limited high end base set limited to 100 would probably be worth $1-2k. And seems like it would be fairly cheap to make, and would add significant value.

Topps did just confirm that you will get an auto from all 40 signers in each box. It is just a matter of which version you get and who the other 21 signers are.

That's some good information. An autograph from each signer is great.

Are you basing these prices on base versions of the autos or what?

Mayhew is nowhere near $100
I can't see SMG being over $200, and even so not for long with her MW3 autos coming out too
Serkis has been under $100 for some time now due to being in too many sets in 2016
Even Billy Dee I have a hard time seeing as $100

Now, maybe this set will demand some premium for being on-card and better card stock, but I don't see prices going up 25% or more just being from this set.

Ford/Ridley/Driver/Jones/Hamill will be the on-card "drivers" of this set. Hayden is huge too, but I feel that MW3 dropping just before/after will hurt Hayden and SMG values compared to if they were ONLY in this set and unannounced for other sets.

I'd like to see someone run the avg prices of autos once we see a final signers list to know how a $250 group break slot would fare. Going off base auto values only I think we'll see 10 signers who are easily worth $250+ and the rest will be $100 and below.

That is good that you will get one of each, the OCD in me would be a little bugged out about getting some of each color. Might be a good opportunity to offset some of the initial cost if you downgrade your parallels to the base. I don't think I will be getting into this, but I will be on the look out for those selling others to help pay for this release.

Thank you for this. Is this the cost that somebody like GTS is going to pay, or is this the cost somebody like GTS will be charging a local card shop? Thank you

Exactly this. Do we really want to plunk down over 7K withouth 100% sure who everyone is?

They don't need orders in today, but Topps will defiantly slow roll this announcment..

That being said, I was expecting it to be higher then $7,150.

I had thought it would be at or slightly over 8K.

*Furthermore, If I could do a break where I make over $2K in one setting just show me where to sign!

Are ppl really going to pay $250 a slot for this??!

Well, Jdaugh reported that Topps said you get an autograph signer from all 40 signers.

So if Ford is in it, everyone gets one right?

So one way or another all 40 people on the list will be your box and wouldn't that mean that everyone signed the EXACT # of copies?

I thought I had read that you could possibly get extra parallel auto's as well? If that's the case, will any of the boxes have 2x Fords for instance??

at 100 boxes and this being hand packed out, I imagine not. Seems pretty straight forward at this time, based on the info...40 different signers per box. 1 from every signer. Parallel's included.

Getting Harrison Ford to sign 100 on card autographs has never been done before.

This set obviously HAS to have him. Like mentioned above, it's tough to pre-order this without knowing 100% Ford is in.

You get 40 autographs per box and there are 40 signers. 1 card per signer. So if you have the 1/1 Ridley, you don't get a base ridley.

Then I don't get why you'd have parallels at all? Daisy Ridley to /25, /10, /4, /1 are all the same photo, same autograph, but a different border color. For this set, she is no more rare than Tim Rose. I dunno, I just don't get the parallel idea for a release like this.

Blowout now has this for preorder at the SRP. They also have a releas date of November 30th.

Is this solid or a guesstimate?

I agree, if it was more like the baseball set then you would get a base auto set and then a handful of parallel autos.

I wish they would have just made 50 sets at around $15,000 a box, but then added premium base cards, a base auto set, some parallel autos, sketch cards and relics or some other hit.

It would have been more expensive, but more limited and better content.
Also this way you could keep a base auto set and then sell off the parallel autos to get back a chunk of your money.

Win-win for set collectors and people that just want an auto of their favorite actor.

I do agree the Parallel's idea with this product seems kind a lame.

Every actor signed 100 cards. No more, no less. Already feels like a missed opportunity and were just getting going...

BO is making over $2800 a box then. There is no problem with that at all in my opinion. Just making an observation..
