I have no problem with it either. Everybody has to make money when it comes to retail.

So if everyone holds off buying this unless they get it direct, maybe BO will be forced to lower prices by 1K or so!

If Ford is in this and I can get it for a little over cost, then it would be worth it.
Those are 2 big ifs though!

If Ford is in here, it will sell out in a hot second!

I've been offered this at $7200. I'm urging my rep to find out if Ford is 100% in this.

In regards to BO selling at retail, I don't blame them. Paypal fee's are BRUTAL, especially on a big ticket item like this.

I guess I'm the only one who isn't waiting lol.

If he's not in there it would be a HUGE shock. Topps knows how to make money. Ford will make them money. He's in there.

If Ford it is in this, hundreds and hundreds of people will order it. Which means there will be several hundred people who don't get it. My distributor already said that just because you place the order does not mean you're going to get it. There is Only 100 boxes to go around, obviously.

Those who get this product, will be the ones who ordered a lot from their distributor over the years. It will definitely be allocated based on prior Star Wars orders placed through that distributor.

My LCS tried to secure a box for me but because he does not do enough volume he was pretty much told no dice. I had to secure it from another source just to make sure.

You're absolutely right about people going crazy when Ford is confirmed. The real gamble right now is waiting too long and missing out

Fortunately I'm not too worried about blowout pre-selling without having a good idea what they're going to have available. Pretty much the only place I trust right now to get the pre-order from and not end up frustred in the end.

Even with Ford and Ridley is there really $10k in value in a box?

Ford 2k
Ridley 1k
Hamill 500
Fisher 500
Jones 500
Driver 500
Christiansen 400?
Christie 400?
SMG 200?
McDiarmid 150
Daniels 100
Boyega 100
Williams 100
Whittaker 100
Yen 100

That's just who i remember from here, perhaps with the right unannounced big names brought back you CAN reach $10k. The above autos should net just under $7k alone.

The lucky people who can buy at like $7.5k should have an easier time justifying value though.

Other possible signers that no one may be thinking about that would significantly increase value:

Alden Ehrenreich (Young Han)
Donald Glover (Young Lando)
Emilia Clarke (Han Solo movie)
Woody Harrelson (Han Solo movie)
Jason Isaacs (Inquisitor - only signed for evolutions I think)
Justin Thoreaux (rumored to be in The Last Jedi)
Riz Ahmed (Rogue One - autos still holding value around $75-$100)
Ben Mendhelson (Rogue One)
Billie Lourde (her TFA autos run close to $200)

While I agree those would be great gets, there is zero chance we are getting Han Solo signers when they haven't even shown character pictures. Good brainstorming though, Billie, Riz, and Ben are all very realistic. Mads Mikkelsen would also be a great surprise.

On another note, is actually kinda strange to think that they will burn through 100 Fisher autos with this one set.

I was thinking about this earlier today as well. Using 100 each for a Fisher and Baker in this set makes me wonder how many stickers Topps has on hand. This has to put a pretty good dent in the supply.

Really? I feel like I paid $25 for her base auto less than a year ago.

I do see two around $80 sold recently and the /5 was a lot higher.

I can't see her being more than $100 though. But still a good jump in value.

And I agree, no way they have any young Han Solo actors in this set. TOPPS can barely use images from the trailers before the movie comes out, no chance of using actors 6 months in advance.

Isaacs signed for mission briefing. If you want one for $500, I'm happy to sell you my /25

IF 100 Ridley autos are released at one time in one set I would imagine it would hurt the value of past cards and also any upcoming releases? I can't imagine it staying at 1k with 100 hitting the market at the same time. Not including the new Masterworks and Last Jedi releases also due out this year.

I think the key for this release is if people will pay a premium for Parallels. Part of the fun of opening boxes/cases/group breaks is getting a low Parallel of a big name.

Will this set have the same interest in the Parallels? Will be fun to watch

Sadly, Billie Lourd autos spiked when Carrie died. I don't really know why? I know she's her daughter, but that's just... odd. As Varga said, they were going for around $25 at one point. They've risen considerably, but nowhere near the $200 mentioned above (unless that was some parallel).

Only thing I can think of is if they had her daughter lined up for a young Leia role possibly.

But yeah the thought of her prices going up because Carrie passed doesn't make a ton of sense, but timing would be right for me to not have known about the spike since I bought her auto early summer last year.
