When this cover was first released, pre-orders were hitting $400. I almost considered it, because I liked it so much. Luckily I hesitated, and there will be plenty available!

I HAD KIND OF THIS SAME INNER DIALOGUE WITH MYSELF ON THE NEW ACTION COMICS--COVER PRICE OF ABOUT 8 BUCKS, HAHA. I SAW A COOL COVER, THEN SAW THE COVER PRICE.

AS A LONG TIME COLLECTOR, I STRUGGLE WITH PAYING LARGE $ FOR NEW STUFF. i HAVE WANT LISTS WITH PLENTY OF 300-400 BOOKS THERE, BUT THEY RE ALL VINTAGE. SAME WITH CARDS, WHY WOULD I WANT A PRIZM ROOKIE OF D. MITCHELL , WHEN I CAN GET ANOTHER GRADED WALTER PAYTON RC? BUT ,THATS JUST ME.....

Or at least, I used to be up until recently. After going back and looking at the prices of some of the store and ratio variants I've bought in the past 2 years, I realized what a racket it is. Patience is the key. If you really like something, I recommend holding out a while. For most books, you'll find it later on at lower prices. There are a few exceptions, but today's "hot" book is tomorrow's "closeout" book.
