Default 93 SP Jeter Grading Advice

BGS says it's trimmed. I've measured it and it lines up 100% IMO to a regular card. I've gone through this several times with BGS saying a card is trimmed, only to be fine on a re-sub.

I got it from a good source... someone i buy from all the time that has an original collection and doesn't really grade cards...I've graded bird/Magic RC's brady rc's among others and never ever an issue..

on the fence with trying again or just dumping it. I don't have much else to send in for grading right now so $30 (i count shipping + insurance both ways) for BGS 10 day seems expensive since it has some surface issues and I have no idea what it'd grade at even if it did.

Guessing it's a commonly trimmed card though so has anyone had any luck or experience resubbing this card, or is there something you notice on the scans? It seems fine to me? Anyway, appreciate the look.

I just had the same thing happen with this card and PSA. Card lines up exactly with another common example, and I've owned it since before it was high value.

Still have it in the holder it came back in, with the PSA note. I've had the card for roughly 20 years, no point in dumping it now. Especially since questionable grading opinions are happening due to common trimming. I know what's happened to the card, but that won't matter for grading.

that's a shame but interesting to know that it's common.

if it's trimmed, then card stock is missing, and it'd be too short or too narrow, and it is neither. This is what confounds me.

The top of the card looks trimmed, may not be trimmed but they arenít going to authenticate it if it looks odd.

Check out the top edge of this one, definitely doesnít look like yours.

It may not have been physically trimmed by someone, it probably just came out of the pack slightly short. 1993 SP is notorious for that.

Look at the ball coming out of jeter's hands on the back of the card. Definitely trimmed.

with those corners, it may come back a 6 or 7, when comparing it to my PSA 7 and PSA 8....if it graded.

and judging pictures on the back to determine trimmed or not can be tough as the centering of the pics may not all be equal. the 1993 stadium club Murphy jeter exhibited this as well. the bottom right corner sometimes showed his pants, sometimes not depending on the picture centering. but after looking at our cards vs his, looks like the top could be missing a 1 mm cut.

usually trimming on this card is on the bottom, where the card cut is right under his cleat, instead of leaving a small space. to me it looked good.

Here are my PSA 7 and PSA 8. the backs look perfectly aligned, as far as the pics go and look like mirror images. however the fronts are t/b centered different. theres more of a gap above his head and "upper deck" on the PSA 7 than the 8.

I bet they can tell if the factory machine cut it or not under magnification.

good eye. Appreciate all the replies. It does look like something is up when you blow up the scan. BGS said the right edge is trimmed. I don't necessarily disagree with anyone's view, just trying to figure it out...but again, I just don't see or understand how its trimmed if there's no card missing. It's the right size. Picture is hard to get 100% level and angle but i tried...
