A bit easier but getting harder.

Am I the only one who will be glad to see the Ohtani hype train ride off into the sunset? It's kinda ruining my typical clecting experience this year!

Believe me, overseas buyers will pay big for this card. I bet they have a 100,000 offer for it already!! Bingo, It helps sell those cases also!!!!

Genius marketing ploy by BO. Kudos to them on that.

As others have said, to pull the card in 3 weeks (sure GB's and guys lucky enough to not get severely cut to a few boxes will be ripping...but no guarantee this is even packed out).....get it graded and back in hand......

Nothing more then an attempt to keep the case prices high with 'gold ticket fever' when this product has a historically weak checklist headlined by a short printed RC auto.

You have better odds of hitting 100k on a $5 scratch off.

Thats all without even arguing the value of the card.

Agreed... I remember reading the base auto could sell around 1k. I've seen people post multipliers on superfractors 75x-150x. I bet that card would sell for 150k. Am I off in my thinking?

No way would I ever sell that card through PayPal. Ask NeedChapmans about how they used "rolling reserves" to basically steal over $100K from him.

No headaches and you don't have to worry about a return.
Does that come with a 1099 at the end of the year?

Nothing like spending 600k on a 746 square foot "loft"...aka a bonus room with a poop catcher.

I wouldn't even take a check for that. I would want $100 bills only to avoid taxes on it.

I'd keep it my secret and just lock it up in a SDB.

Make it the great white whale.

Break it out in 15 years when he's headed to the HOF...

$60k for a brand new piece of cardboard and ink? Sold. I dont care if Blowout has a $100k offer. I'll even fly it to them and deliver it in person.

I'm not opening any, so I don't have a horse in the race but I'm wondering:

1) Why May 11th? Am I missing something obvious?

2) If I were to pull it, I haven't done business with BGS in more than a decade and I don't have interest in grading cards. Why wouldn't BO purchase (with the 9.5 stipulation documented and agreed to) and submit on their own, with the caveat that if it isn't a 9.5, it's returned to the original buyer? I'm not following the desire for the card minus the desire to do the work, especially since it's clear they have something specific planned for it with all of the specs.

I assume probably just an arbitrary date, in order to keep this from dragging out.

Just speculating here, but BO in all likelihood already has a high end buyer lined up for this card, but with the stipulation it be a 9.5 grade or higher.
