I talked to a rep named Ryan yesterday and he said they are finishing up July non guaranteed and starting on augusts soon in fact some have already started grading August submissions. However I think nationals were at the beginning of August so the big back log begins. So maybe end of December or sometime in January for my 8/4 submission.

They finally removed the "20-60 business day" non-guaranteed timeframe from the submission forms.

Older submission form:

New submission form (as of 11/09/17):

---

I am completely sympathetic to whatever organizational strains the BGS department is experiencing BUT:
  1. They are still charging customers for a service that presently will not be completed until half a year later
  2. They are not informing existing customers, who submitted under the 20-60 business days goal and who have already paid, and leaving them completely in the dark about the status of their assets.

Beckett is coming across as irresponsible at best and disreputable at worst.

Informing customers (who already paid) would be incredibly easy and low-cost with mass-emails. Instead, they are using 1 post inside of a single thread on their unknown message board to communicate updates to customers. That thread has only 700 views in 3 months:

99.9% of their non-guaranteed customers, who paid and submitted a long time ago under a loose 20-60 business day guideline, are completely in the dark.

Sorry, man. I feel your pain.

I was lucky enough to get my cards back within 3 months and do not have any outstanding orders with BGS but this whole situation still aggravates me greatly (which is why I keep the thread updated).

Apparently even after 5 months they will take extra money to grade faster. They are a joke

The number keeps growing. BGS is either putting these orders on the very low priority or they are still getting enough cards at this level to stay back logged. Six months is a very long time to get your cards back. This can't be good for the long term.

Just talked to Ryan at Becket grading and asked him if nationals was considered to be end of July or beginning of August for submission and he said end of July and that they are already starting on August submissions so maybe they are past the big back log and things will go faster. Also maybe I might win the powerball as well. I won't hold my breath for either lol

They tell me that they always prioritize guaranteed submissions first and then after they are done with those they work on the non garanteed stuff but I think since for the longest time they quoted 20-60 days non guaranteed that a lot of people used that and then they got a big backlog of orders and combine that with nationals and their change in model of pricing and non guaranteed vs guaranteed items for their work flow it's caused massive wait times on non guaranteed stuff.

What do you mean take extra money to grade faster. Do you know of anyone waiting so long and then the amount taken to grade their order faster?

Just F.Y.I

I submit my cards through BO member Jackg1980 (thank you). Cards were shipped at the same time. Only difference was half of my submissions were for 10 day, the other half was for non-guarantee.

10 Days
9979947
Set Name : 2014 Panini Prizm Rookie Autographs Prizms NFL Shield
Player Name : Khalil Mack/25
Date Graded : Thursday, August 03, 2017

Non-guarantee
10080934
Set Name : 2015 Panini National Convention VIP Party Cracked Ice
Player Name : Derek Carr FB (pop 1)
Date Graded : Wednesday, December 13, 2017

PS. You might find this interesting, but as you can see the 10 day has a SN# of 9979947 and the NoN-Guarantee is 10080934. I submitted a few more cards at the end of October w/10 day turn around (*see below) and that one was given a SN# of 10190541

10190541
Set Name : 2014 Panini Prizm Rookie Autographs Prizms Red Power
Player Name : Khalil Mack/35
Date Graded : Wednesday, November 01, 2017

Do you know the received date for your combined 10 day and non guaranteed submission?

That I don't have, since I didn't personally submit them. Only thing I can tell you is both 10 day and non guarantee were received by BGS on the same day.

Just got grades on my PSA non-guaranteed 10 day, it took 11 days. Pumped on that. Hoping the non-guaranteed 45 day doesn't take too much longer than 45 days as well.

My July 5th order has seen zero action. Definitely DON'T hold your breath unless you can not breathe for a month.

It was an interesting conversation, but it didn't help speed anything up. All I can say is I've been told November in October, December in November, and January in December.

I just called and the lady I spoke to said they have already started with August submissions first week and that not all July submissions are complete and it depends on what grader has your cards and the workload they have because maybe one grader gets a low number of cards to be graded in non guaranteed service then gets jammed with a 1000 card non guaranteed order that makes a backlog of things and even though it's first come first serve on these things this system makes it not the case depending on work order. So in other words it's all goobly gock and makes no sense to me. I did say that well if more graders aren't hired then the starting 20-60 day statement could just never end as it is now 5 plus months wait. She did state that they were largely overwhelmed after nationals and that created the huge backlog which who knows when they will get past that log jam as more orders just keep coming in and above all guaranteed orders are done first. What a never ending disaster

35 card BGS submission made on July 31. Nothing yet. I've already told my LCS that this is the last time I am doing grading. They seemed perfectly ok with that news. They have already told me that they don't make that much money off of sending cards in for grading, and it's more trouble for them than it's actually worth.

I've been wondering since my cards and many others have been sitting around for five months now being supposedly graded what do they do with the cards after they receive and count them do they just stack them on a shelf? do they put them in a box? Are they just stacked one box on top of each other. Knowing my luck mines at the bottom of the pile being crushed by some persons 1000 plus card order lol
