Definitely gotta add Gronk to the list. He's already one of the greatest TE's to ever play the game. He's one of a kind.

Eli is the modern day Namath,
Outside a fluke run or two, mediocrity.

Ben has been consistently great in an AFC division that's been stronger for the past 15 years.
Not even close.

You gotta go back to 96 and add the Ray Lewis Bowmans Best RC Refractor.

Marshawn Lynch
Rivers - not a lock, but would be if he can get a ring before he retires.
Revis
Brandon Marshall - not a lock
Steve Smith
Romo - not a lock

As mentioned above... Antonio Gates is a stone cold lock as well... but since he doesn't have a chrome rc I left him off the list

Not even close.
namath is a HOFer. so i vote eli back in

also, Eli's throwing numbers are much closer to Elway's than Namath.

this seems like a biased answer to me...to say they are "not even close" to me is just crazy

Career W-L: Eli 97-86.....Ben 113-56....adv Ben but that just means his team was alot better
Career yards: Eli 44,191....Ben 42,995....adv Eli but per game is Ben...but he has missed games to inj
Career TDs: Eli 294....Ben 272....both nearing top 10 all time on this...impressive
Careeer INTs: Eli 199....Ben 147...adv Ben
Pro Bowls: 4 each....
Super Bowls: 2 each
Super Bowl MVPs: Eli 2.....Ben 0....Huge adv to Eli
QB Rating: Eli 83.5....Ben 94.0....adv to Ben

Playoffs:
Eli has been better across the board pretty much....

17td/8int
8-3 record
QB Rating goes up to 89.3

Ben:
22td/19int
11-6 record
QB Rating goes down to 84.6

so overall i would honestly say they are pretty even when you take everything into consideration....and both have super stud WRs now to help them later in their careers to keep boosting those numbers...

Eli has way more INTs...that is fair...he also has two SB MVPs to his name...whether you think he deserved them or not...he has em...

i think they are both LOCKS by the way...im not arguing that one is better than the other or that one wont make it...i just honestly dont think there is some huge gap between them when it comes to their careers to this point...

Gore? He'll definitely be top 10 all time in yards, could end at 13k, and appeared in a SB where he lost but cracked the century mark?

Look at it without seeing the player's name

All Time Ranks in these categories

Passes Completed 10th
Passes Attempted 12th
Passing Yards 11th
Passing TDs 8th
Passes Intercepted 27th
Passing Yards/Game 14th
183 Consecutive Games Started Regular Season
11 Postseason Starts
2 Super Bowl Wins/2 SB MVPs

if you didn't know the guys name was Eli Manning everyone would say those ranks are close to a lock. Eli will move into 7th all time on the TD list early this season, will move higher on yards too i'm sure. The guy is a lock for the HOF whether people like it or not

I think he could be an eventuality. Personally, I'd probably not vote him in, as the barometer for HOF status should have the bar raised. The HOF for sports other than Baseball are a bit more liberal and loose, so with Basketball, Football and Hockey, you'll see non-mainstream recognizable names at times, who, when you look at their stats are good if not great, but are not necessarily the best of their respective playing eras, but good enough to take notice, be recognized and rewarded. So, the 12k rushing yards are good, but not a qualifier. If there was a player who played for 24 seasons, rushing for 500 yards per season, culminating to 12k career yards, is that good enough? Not to say Edge's stats were sub-par year to year, but the 12k totals are just part of the evaluation process not the qualifier for instant induction.

I know not everyone is getting in or should get in, as it does diminish the prestige of those who have been enshrined, but at the same time, the HOF has already let in a lot of marginal players (compared to their peers) as well as excluded some key non-offensive stat players who deserve entry too.

I think Calvin makes it, just because he's been a fan favorite.
What about Stafford? All the lions do it throw he he has a ton of passing yards if he keeps up does he make it?
Mcnabb isn't a lock but I wouldn't be surprised if he made it or not
