Are you being serious? You're saying a 3-6 record is equal to an 0-2 record? I don't know about you, but I'll take 3 playoff wins over a big fat 0. They are not comparable in my eyes.

No, he WILL end up in the HOF one day. Larry Fitz is one of the all time greats.

Yep. You could be 1-20 or 20-1 in the playoffs and nobody cares if you don't win a Superbowl or even a conference championship.

Luck has only made the post-season three times ... pretty impressive he's been allowed double elimination each season. NFL should consider changing that rule; not fair that Luck is allowed to lose twice every post-season while other QB's are only allowed to lose once.

Fitzgerald is just amazing. First ballot guy. Patriots are the ultimate plug and play system team. I don't if it is the coaching, finding the right players, or cheating, but they always seem to have the next guy up play well. How many teams could win without their starting QB and top offensive weapon. Most would look like the Cowboys without Dez and Romo.
This is an amazing post. The Pats are always in the other teams' head. Love it.

Are you suggesting that the Patriots are in my head? It was just an observation, nothing more. I have always maintained that Belichek is the best coach in the business. He goes after intelligent, coachable, low cost/young players over talent (even though his drafts aren't always the best). Throws them out before their contracts and/or attitudes get too big. Rinse and repeat. I do find it strange that more teams don't copy this formula more often being a copycat league after all. Maybe the pool of talented and intelligent/coachable players is a lot smaller than people realize.

Brady was smart enough very early to recognize on how good a situation he is in. He knew he wouldn't have been nearly has successful anywhere else. Kept his cap hit team friendly so he wasn't the one getting moved to save money and keep the team competitive.

As great as Belichick is a coach, his one weakness is clock management. He let 21 seconds run off the clock before calling timeout. Got very lucky AZ missed a field goal. The difference of 1:02 and 41 seconds is enormous...especially in a domed stadium where you would only need about 35 yards or a few first downs for a FG attempt

Yeah, that was weird. It was like he was waiting to see if Arizona could get lined up correctly before the play clock ran out. They had no timeouts and had to get the field goal lined up on the fly. When he realized Arizona was going to have no problem getting everything lined up, he took a timeout.
