Default Blowout member selling damaged cards take a look inside!!

Bought this with another card from YANKE125

this was the scan provided by the seller, and he said it was mint.

Here are my scans after receiving the card yesterday.

And now here are his responses to my PM's about this situation!

"ok i sent the cards in good condition it isnt my problem that you tampered with them. and by u making a thread isnt scaring me. it wasnt my fault clearly yours"

"and genius i never said it was mint u moron go look at our conversations"

What should be my next course of action? Open a Paypal dispute?

My suggestion is to post this where it belongs. Wrong section and heck would have been the wrong sport as well.

Open a paypal claim if you aren't happy with the purchase. Pretty simple.

Default before it moves...

I worry about people using PhotoShop in a lot of things nowadays. I rarely use it except to maybe correct some dust marks on a scan. In this case someone could doctor all the edges and corners.

Wrong section, but...

The first scan is clearly cropped. Seller knew it was damaged, especially judging by his PM responses. Open a Paypal dispute and get your money back.

He could have also cropped off the right edge to hide the corner.

The reason I am posting here is to warn people about this member as he is very active on the baseball boards.

It was damaged in shipping. Seller should have put a soft sleeve on the card, or put it in a magnetic to avoid damage to the card. I'd ask him for a refund and mail the card back to him. If he doesn't agree to a refund, than I would definitely file an item not as described. If he doesn't budge, get the card slabbed authentic by bgs and dump it and cut your losses.

Boy it indeed does look like he doctored the scan compared to what you received. Thats bad news...

Maybe it's because I'm not the best at photoshop but I think it'd be extremely difficult and time consuming.

Again, I'm no whiz with computers and never quite figured out photoshop so I'm probably the wrong person to judge.

Quick question though: how easy would it be to "touch up" a card on photoshop?

as i'm a genius with it. it would take me maybe 10 seconds. you can just color the edges in or you can clip the area right below it and paste it up on the damaged parts and then crop. very simple. disgusting the guy would do this. throwing your morality away for $20.

The best way to warn the community is with feedback. If it is not worth feedback, why is it worth a thread?

I don't understand how, in this day and age (with paypal/ebay policies), someone would be dumb enough to try to pass that off and think they can get away with it. It would be one thing if it happened going through the mail, but the way the seller is responding makes me think it was like that all along.

Another example of why I prefer do deal through ebay.

Paypal will side with you 500 times out of 499. Just open a dispute saying the item was damaged. They will ask you to return it to the seller. Make sure you ship with DC# or Signature Confirmation. Then you have to upload the # to paypal and within 2 weeks you will have your $$ back.

Good man As a buyer myself we assume that the cards are in near mint to mint condition if not then we should be told before buying. I'll file a dispute faster than lighnting if I received a damage card & the seller spoke to me like that.

Yeah, was very rude of him to respond that way. It just shows that hes trying to hide something.
Thanks guys

The card was not damaged during shipping. The seller used settings within his scanning software to make the card look better and cropped the card so the buyer could not see the major damage.

Worse part is you lose out on a nice card. But you did the right things.
