The only ones that state production numbers are SDCC. Even exclusives have a large production, it's just a variant exclusive to that particular store. Definitely not like sports cards in that department.

I've attached and example of a limited edition 12 piece that will sell for ~800-1000. Some SDCC are limited anywhere from 480-2000+

Are the numbers in the upper right corner a set number or unique for the entire production? Meaning: Are there #2 in multiple lines or is there only a single #2 for the entire 'Pop' run?

Is there a checklist? I haven't seen anything Thundercats in 30 years.

What is the retail store pricing?

EDIT: What does SDCC stand for?

Wow. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Funko-Clockw...p2047675.l2557

No, the numbers are just part of the set, within the theme. I am not sure if they are duplicated, i.e. 2 different themes have a # 02, but I doubt it.

I think there is a checklist website, but not sure as I don't use it.

Retail store pricing is ~9-$10 for a common piece.

The clockwork orange is limited to 12 and was never supposed to be released. They were given to only a few people. For sports cards, a card #'d to 12 is fairly common, but with Pops, finding any that are only limited to 480 are less is not very common. So many commons are made, and so few actual limited ones are "in the wild" that they usually sell for much more than the everyday commons you can find at Wal-Mart or Walgreens.

If you need more info please feel free to PM me. We deal with pops and have all kinds, and can get all kinds.

SDCC stands for San-Diego ComiCon. Here are 2 2014 SDCC Thundercats:

I hope you do find my info to be helpful! We've had a Funko account since 2011 and have watched the popularity of these figures explode! We get all of the SDCC exclusives each year and we've attended 2 fundays events.

We tend to deal with the more rare stuff because the common pop market is flooded with barely any profit to be made, even buying direct.

How are you trying to get new members? I see 12 registered members and can't see any posts at all (maybe since I'm not registered). IMO you have way too many subforums at this stage in the game. I wish you luck and will register but you need to attract people away from FB. I've been warning people about the dangers of BST on FB but it seems to fall on deaf ears.

Wow. Funko Clockwork Orange Pop Very Very RARE | eBay

Here's one checklist. PopVinyls.com Monthly Pop! Lists - PopVinyls.com

Another is at funkofunatics.com

There are some issues with the POP! hobby and communities. Many of the participants don't understand how to grow something, how to B/S/T properly, etc. There are a lot of splinter groups on FB that are ran by people with minimal common sense. IMO the company is missing a big opportunity by not fostering more of it themselves.

The numbers are for each subset. Marvel, DC, TV, Advertising, etc.

I would like to learn more about the business model. I've done a bit of reading since I posted in this thread. I am quite impressed with Brian Mariotti's strategy.

Your comment about the splitter communities definitely means he has an avenue to create a culture and experience, beyond simply the product.

If he's not careful this stuff will go the way of the Beanie Baby and Zhu Zhu pets. IMO he's not owning the secondary community as well as possible. Not sure why, but that's my opinion. He does do some cool stuff like Fundays, selling protos, giving tours of the HQ, etc. Still ignoring too many big chunks of the country and its too hard to find out who is carrying the product. That's a problem in a lot of hobby's though. Not sure why people don't understand that the easier you make it for people to find stuff the more you can sell. There is really no downside.

Not entirely true. Gemini has run counts on some stickers as do the Hikari's.

I don't know what they are called. The shape bracelets?

I read a story in business school about the guy who started the trend in his garage. He was okay with making money on the front end and didn't really care about the back end. Some of the stories I read about the guy seemed to contradict his comments, but he ended up on the rich end, so he wasn't complaining out loud.

I do think he has regrets for not taking ownership of the culture and the experience and shaping the secondary market.

I've become addicted to these things.
One of the only collectibles I've taken out of their boxes (the boxes are neatly stored away though if needed)

The Elsa is my most expensive one since it's the SDCC, Luckily I had the SDCC Buffy to trade. Didn't see it posted but PopVinyls.com - Covering the World of Funko and POPular Vinyl Toys is where I go for all my info.

Some are pretty ugly, but I do like that they cross different shows and topics in a standard form.

Bite me. POPS and Mighty Muggs are VERY similar in style and packaging so sue me for thinking they might have been re-branded or given a new name.
