A Football promo like BO use to have a couple of years ago. Where you buy product. And get a random team.
Or a Suicide type pool. Buy product. Get a code to enter Yahoo's Survival Pool site to pick your team for the week. Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Survival Football |

I know this is old but I'm going to post anyway.
How about a promo where people buy in together on a case of some high end product (any sport). Blowout opens the cards and for some of the top hits, come up with an over under for a stat of that player (could be PPG, goals, hits, wins, would vary by the sport). Everyone chooses over or under for all of the stats but can also choose not to guess. You get a certain amount of points for guessing correctly, lose a certain number for guessing incorrectly, and nothing happens if you didn't guess. At the end of the season (or some other amount of time), there is a hit draft and the order is determined by the number of points. The rest of the hits are randomed off to the participants who are not in the top and don't get a card that was guessed on. For example: Let's say it is baseball and we have 5 players. Derek Jeter - 150 hits (10 points) Alex Rodriguez - 1 game played (1 point) Jason Motte - 40 saves (8 points) Danny Salazar - 13 wins (5 points) Chris Davis - 45 home runs (15 points) I guess under for Jeter, Rodriguez, and Davis and over for Motte. I don't guess for Salazar. Jeter, Salazar, and Motte end up over and Rodriguez and Davis end up under. I lose 10 for Jeter, get 1 for Rodriguez, gain 8 for Motte, lose 15 for Davis, and don't gain or lose any for Salazar. I end up with -16 points, which we'll say puts me in 4th out of 8. 1,2,3, me, and 5 pick from the 5 players chosen and the last 3 hits are randomed off to the other 3 participants. |

I like this one too
I meant this promo i liked: Why not ask members to post a photo of themselves holding the Blowout Cards logo in the most interesting place they can. A month would give people time to take the logo to sporting events, jump in front of the google street view car's camera or jump up and down behind their local news reporter doing an interview etc. It would be interesting to see what people come up with and the stories about how they did it. Plus it would be great viral marketing for Blowout Cards.

Maybe for next season they could do an NBA Player Promo similar to the NFL one. With more games and more opportunities for payouts I get that it would have to either be more expensive or have smaller payouts for individual game efforts, but I think some of that would be counter balanced by there being 150 spots (one per position per team) as opposed to 96 spots.
Single game accomplishments could be something like 50+ points or 15+ assists or 20+ boards. |

Anything similar to the Cyber Monday or Halloween promotions are awesome!
Nothing like taking a chance on getting something big but knowing you are guaranteed something. Keep the Random.org promotions coming! |

The promos like the Cyber Monday and Halloween are always good but the lack of big prizes is weak-sauce. Rather than just complain, I decided to make one up myself. It's a promo for the big boys with plenty of nice prizes in it, but there will be some steep losses for some. The buy-in is at $300.00 flat with 160 total spots.
I used the sale prices as of today for these products. Bowman-Lovers Baseball Bonanza 4 Cases 2013 Bowman Chrome Jumbo $3,959.80 4 Cases 2010 Bowman Chrome $1,996.00 4 Cases 2010 Bowman $5,276.00 4 Cases of 2011 Bowman Chrome $5,276.00 4 Cases of 2011 Bowman Draft $3,836.00 4 Cases of 2012 Bowman Chrome $2,699.80 4 Cases of 2012 Bowman Draft $2,924.00 4 Cases of 2013 Bowman Chrome $2,339.80 4 Cases of 2013 Bowman Draft $2,719.80 4 Cases of 2013 Bowman $2,799.80 3 $500 BO Gift Card $1,500.00 2 $250 BO Gift Card $500.00 5 $150 BO Gift Card $750.00 10 2011 Bowman Chrome Box $1,099.50 10 2011 Bowman Draft Box $799.50 10 2012 Bowman Draft Box $609.50 10 2012 Bowman Draft Jumbo Box $1,609.50 10 2012 Bowman Chrome Box $579.50 10 2013 Bowman Draft Box $579.50 10 2013 Bowman Draft Jumbo Box $1,399.50 10 2013 Bowman Chrome Box $489.50 30 of the spots are for 1 Random Team in a 4 Case 2013 Bowman Draft Break to be ran by BO. $4,000.00 Total cost of product for this promo is $47,743.00. Divide this by 160 spots and it comes to about $298.39. Again, you can lose big but I think plenty of people would take the risk of losing $200+ on this gamble. You have a 25% shot at a case. Also, BO would make normal profit on the products so I don't see any issues there. Anyone else like this idea or should I go kick rocks? |

How about combining the grab bag promos with Super Bowl boxes promo. Buy into the grab bag and get a super bowl box. You can eliminate the big prizes in the grab bag and make more winners with the boxes. Every score change is a prize. Quarters, halftime and final are big prizes, with connecting boxes getting a box or gift certificate.

Spouse/Child contests aren't really fair considering some of us aren't married or fathers/mothers. i mean I'm 21 so I don't plan on having a child of wife anytime soon lol but in like 10 years, I'd love to do those contests!!! A favorite pull story, or favorite autograph moment would be fun.

Something related to pets would be fun, preferably something with an element that promotes pet adoption. The winter months are toughest for shelters, I think using the hobby to find furry friends a home would be satisfying regardless of the prizes.
