I think JSC is gracious enough to address "fans" by offering one FREE signature (Non-CGC) and if you reflect upon the gesture, that's actually and should be "enough" of a gift to appease most people, in that it is an autograph and one is all someone really needs for their experience and collection, not necessarily to get multiples per se.

I saw Larry Hama @ Wonder Con offer FREE autographs with a PERSONALIZATION mandate, otherwise there was a fee for signatures, which to me is a bonus to a fan to get something addressed to them vs just a person cranking out signatures with their head down and no eye contact.

The whole Signature Series thing is good for the hobby, as a business, and the artists are treating it as such. It's a bit cold and impersonal and all about the the money, the high grades and isolation (Slabbing).

On a side note about Campbell's signing info, he will sign 1 item for free each day, unless this has changed. So, if you are at SDCC, you could conceivably get 5 items signed for free.

On a couple occasions, he has signed 2-3 things for me for free. That being said, I typically bring in odds and ends for him to sign like cards and posters he forget he even did I guess he likes seeing and signing stuff like that.

Are you referring to the Venom 1:50? If so, not sure I would call that "phoned in." Does not do anything for me, but, to each their own.

I have to agree mainly because most of JSC's covers as of late have been sort of static pin-ups, albeit glamorous and beautiful, it lacked what this one has, which is a storytelling element. I think this cover is great!

Finally decided to start listing most of my JSC stuff. Posted a link in the "Spam your auction" thread, but here's the link in case you never venture elsewhere:

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw..._dmd=1&_ipg=50

Would love to see these books go to BO JSC Junkies. If you're interested in a title let me know ASAP so I can pull it from eBay. Tried to be at or below current eBay trends with pricing.

$208 for the unsigned set, $258 for the signed set. If you get the discount, that's $176.80/$219.30 + $9.00 for shipping = $185.80/$228.30 or $23.23/$28.54 per book. Remember, this book has a $10 cover price so you're paying a little more than double cover.

When I saw the announcement about there being 8 covers, I immediately said "pass." But now that these are rolling out, I'm rethinking that.

The unsigned Ultra set sold out in less than 2 minutes. Still have signed sets and the "Premium" 4-packs.

My connection sucked and I missed this one. Was surprised to see everything was sold out this morning.

I wonder what the % divide of resellers who plan to sell the JSC Exclusives immediately VS the collectors who plan to keep 'em?

I'm hoping they get dumped like the last few exclusives and I can pick up some cgc cheaper than it would have cost me to do it myself, but the quick sell out this time doesnt bode well. That said, those previous d covers sold out quick and now can be had cheap.
