The cards from CFB 9 should be arriving Friday (Saturday at the latest).

My goal is to post this break for approval on Saturday evening.

I already got the price cut straight from Chris (this is NOT the same thing as break approval) - we got a $425 price cut!

5 cases at $690 would be $3450. 5 cases of BDPP at $850 is $4250. 1 case of Marquee at $2060.

2010 BDPP - 263 spots
2011 TC - 263 spots: 220 base, 33 autos, 5 usa set (per case), 5 heritage lots (per case)

$9760/526 = $18.56 base slot price

$2.50 shipping + $1.00 supplies + $0.10 to cover Marquee shipping/supplies = $22.16

$22.16 + pp fees = $19.75 (call it an even $20.00)

$23.10 for first pick, $21.10 each additional pick. OR $44.20 each with 2 picks via snake draft?

SPECIAL MARQUEE BONUS GUARANTEE:

For every 10 spots, you may choose to:

A. Get 1 guaranteed Marquee hit/spot (of the 60). If you do so, these 10 spots are removed from the Marquee random (and slightly raising the odds for everyone else). Trading does not count.

B. Keep your spots in the marquee random with the odds of approximately 1.14 spots per 10 spots in the main draft. You could get none or multiple this way.

Before anyone freaks out, the people getting the guaranteed marquee spot are RAISING your chances of getting a marquee hit! Think it through, this is good for you!

This is the second time I have posted a poll this week with a glaring typo in the title!

I think I am slowly getting dumber by the day.

BO has TC again - $725.

I just sent Pat an email about a price break - we might not get much on the TC because they cannot keep it on the shelves!

I also have a member with a Marquee case that he has preordered. We could add marquee to the break (the case is from BO) and it would only add a few dollars per spot...

We would just random all the hits against all the spot holders - no extra draft - just random.

Confused about the first example. How are you drafting Marquee then randoming hits?

The way I see it, we would player draft the BDPP and topps chrome. Then the 60 Marquee hits/base would be randomed amongst all slotholders. Those hits are assigned in chronological order rather than drafted.

How will that work with selling slots then? Would it be revealed after the break so if you purchased that slot you get the Marquee slot, or does it go to the original person?

How it would work: you draft your player - you can have anyone not already drafted from either product. Your choice! You cannot draft a marquee pick.

After the cases are opened and all spots traded/sold, we would random the 526 spots - the top 60 (or so) get a marquee hit. Then we random the Marquee hits. If you are fifth in the marquee draft, you get the fifth hit in the marquee random.

The marquee random is separate from the player draft. We will take the final draft order and random that for marquee. Does that make sense?

Nope. The #1 spot in the draft can pick any player spot from either product (not both). This draft takes place before the break.

Oh crap, I didn't think of that. We need a solution.

Live draft? I am going to need a list a quick draft clock... I want to bust this a week from Monday. (I think that is the earliest I can do it.)

We could go live a few nights - that makes it go pretty fast.

Another idea is just to draft the first half and then random the last 263 picks... they are generally less desirable anyway...

the rest we can do a live 2 min per pick clock / not a random please.

Pick 263 is worth more than pick 500 - once you random you lose that aspect.

Not sure what you mean by snake draft. Do you get two draft picks for each slot (one for BDPP and one for TC) and the draft order is reverse for one of the other?

You are underestimating the amount of work this would take for me to do it. Figure about 10 hours of straight live draft to do 263 picks. That may be ok for the participants, but not for me.

Marginally that is true. However, the real value in these later picks are the parallels - and there is no way of knowing anyway. If we can come up with a feasible method to draft all these picks, that's great - otherwise I think a second half random is the only remaining option.

Yes, but think about it, we would be adding another 60+ spots to the draft - that would be 600 spots!

I think I misunderstood then--do you mean, take each of the hits and random them to all 500+ slots?

Or do you mean take the slots, random them, and then the top 60 will get a random Marquee hit?

What I was saying was that you could take those random top 60 slots (still giving every one of the 500+ a shot, originally) and then have a draft of the Marquee. Granted, that's probably a non-starter because it's more work for you. Forget I said anything

And the other way, I was saying i.e. draft Marquee slots, wouldn't add slots, we could just random the last 60 (be they Chrome players, BDPP players or Marquee hits) that didn't get picked. But yeah, that would also add a separate Marquee hit draft and I guess that's off the table...
