I continue to be ridiculously impressed by this guy. That at bat against Grilli last night just shows how much better he is this year. Last year he's down 0-2 and chasing those close fastballs off the plate and yet last night lays off a couple of tough pitches, spoils a couple good ones and then gets his pitch and deposits it into the seats. His numbers at home are incredible right now plus I love that he is constantly on the top step of the dugout cheering on his teammates. He's just someone who "gets it"

June 3, 2013 -- Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Domonic Brown has been voted the National League Player of the Month for May.
In 28 games last month, Brown led the National League with 12 home runs and 25 RBI, tying Miguel Cabrera for the Major League lead in homers while ranking fourth overall in RBI.

Brown also had 89 total bases which was good for third in the Majors.

Brown slugged .688 during the month of May, the second-highest mark in the N.L., while posting a .303 (33-for-109) batting average.

------------

Just saying.

I can't get caught up in the hype, its way to early. I pulled 2 Tribute autos in my inner case last week to #99 and #50 and have seen the prices raise which is nice. Most people will say sell sell sell but if he truly continues to impress and gets ROY honors then that will benefit me more. If he doesn't then oh well, I will continue to watch him and hope he succeeds, not just this year but years ahead. Having a breakout player that continues to do well always helps the game.

As a Red Sox fan is it ok for me to say I really like this kid?

I mean who knows what kind of player he is going to turn out to be. I'm interested to see how he fares against these pitchers the 2nd and 3rd time around later in the season. That being said what he is doing for baseball, and the hobby, is remarkable. We just may be witnessing a star being born.

Don't forget to that some of these pitchers he faced last year and failed miserably with a high strikeout rate. After last night's game, Toronto's skipper said he was real impressed with the difference in Judge at the plate from last year to this year. Last year he would swing at everything and this year he is really selective. That was a great at bat against Grilli last night.

Lets bring him down to earth

Aaron Judge Age 25 Career HR:16
Giancarlo Stanton Age 27 Career HR: 215

But he IS a Yankee and it will be interesting to see who the Alpha Dog is, Gary Sanchez or him?

And Stanton has been playing since he was 20, so I'm not sure how that is a good comparison.

Agree with you there. He is going to strike out a lot. That's never going to change. But his increased patience at the plate is forcing pitchers to keep the ball closer to the plate on him which naturally leads to a better ball to hit. With his cartoon level power anything near the zone that he gets wood on is going really really far.

So at this pace he'll pass Stanton...that was your point, right?

And people thought I was crazy investing nearly $7k in this guy over the last few years.

Already made my money back and still have 18 chrome auto's including 6 gold's (5 are 9.5's).

Life is good

It's ridiculous that the price would jump from 110 to 195 over the weekend. I bought two at 110 but as usual I got crap. Wish I saved them and sold them.

Yankee prospects can really explode in value and the long ball is huge. If he keeps hitting a couple a week that would probably lead to another doubling of his base autos...wow

To me, this is a typical hot prospect who is putting up numbers out of the gate, but will soon cool off. As soon as pitchers get a proper scouting report on him, his numbers will drop significantly. It is highly improbable that he will continue this kind of pace, unless of course he ends with 80+ home runs on the season. Sell now before he slumps or gets injured....again.

This happening at the moment and what they are saying about him and how the Yankees are doing is 20x better than with Sanchez..

he really looks like the real deal.. no reason why card prices should go down this year..

Was just looking back at some of my threads here because I knew I had some Judge's at one point.

Sold a Blue, REF and 2 Base in a lot for $150. Ugh.

Kid's killing it though, definitely want to see him keep it up!
