Thatís between EBay and COMC. If I want to buy a card on EBay thatís being sold by COMC consignment, am I wrong to go over to COMC directly to buy it?

Don't think so. There was no offer to deal off eBay. It is there for the taking. COMC does not put in their listing to come buy on COMC site. You don't contact COMC to say I am going to buy on COMC directly. The violation is offer to buy or sell off eBay.

For example, if the seller has the card listed here in the B/S/T section and also on ebay and the deal was initialized through the sales thread here, there will be no violation.

You can often get a card cheaper on COMC because they have an offer option as opposed to none (usually) on ebay.

Sticking it to eBay may not be wrong. It depends on the way it was done.

Just wondering your stance in this hypothetical:
You desperately want a card that's on ebay.
You make an offer you can afford.
Seller says they'll accept the offer but only if they can do it direct so they avoid ebay fees.

Do you:
A) tell them you don't want ebay to miss out on their deserved fees and refuse
B) offer more than you maybe able to afford or think it's worth, on ebay, to cover those fees
C) give up negotiating on this much desired item and move on
?
