I get a kick out of looking at everyone's successes, and after debating, decided I would join in. My fortunes may not be as glorious as others, but I do what makes me happy. I'll try to add pictures as well.

Hahaha you know it! I'm such a bad Oregonian and Ducks fan! I couldn't find anything else flat around my house w/ Ducks on it! A flipping POG?! C'mon! Gotta find something else that I can have random Ducks sign that don't have cards! Picked up a sticky note pad w/ the Duck on it...anybody have any other ideas? GO DUCKS!

Got word that I did not procure Alex Jackson's autograph from last week. Story is he blew me off pre-game and talked to his scout and agent all during warm-ups. I started talking to this guy who knew the coach, Brian Hunter, about our jobs, baseball, etc. and he actually offered to try to get Alex to sign my cards when I had to get going b/c of prior commitments. I said his grandson could keep a card if he got them. The guy texted me today and said he failed and is going to give me my cards back next week. Oh well, it was worth a shot!

UPDATE!

The Alex Jackson quest has been rejuvenated!

Met up w/ the guy that tried to get my cards signed for me a few weeks ago. After talking for about an hour about life, the hobby, work, etc., I told him about TTM. He offered to call up his friend and coach of the Everett Aquasox, Brian Hunter, and see if he can mail them to him and he can get Mr. Jackson to sign them! Very cool guy!

The chase continues!

Alex is probably one of the toughest guys to get in the low minors. My personal experience is that he was only signing (side paneling) a few for young kids and would ignore or refuse others. Best of luck

Went to the Portland Mavericks game yesterday. Very cool atmosphere all day. Lots of old Mavericks players showed up including Rob Nelson, former player and co-creator of Big League Chew. Everyone got a bag of gum upon exit. Kurt Russell and Jim Bouton didn't show up however. Dang!

Hit up Swanson and Trahan after they did some interviews for the camera. Swanson only signed 2 of the 4 photos for a 50/50 I'm doing saying that he was super hungry. Then he goes out and pops his 1st professional home run in the 8th! Awesome!

Another TTM return today! Bob Baffert! Super stoked for this. My grandpa was a horse junkie and always talked about how Baffert was going to be the trainer to win the Triple Crown. Got this card as a remembrance of him.
