I am very excited for this set! Loved the Galaxy sets of the past. That said, I am not too keen on the autograph designs.

Will this be hobby and retail or just hobby?

Hmm, I'm excited for the base set.

The Wanted posters are meh, Chrome already did those and there's nothing really special there. I loved the propaganda cards before, I'm hoping they didn't just reuse phrases for these. I have no clue why they thought TLJ character inserts are needed yet again, we already had two sets of them.

When they say "patch cards with memorable past Star Wars Galaxy artwork" I wonder if it's a patch of that artwork, or if a patch is inserted as part of the image.

Would the parallels just be card borders with a set like this? I wasn't around for the previous galaxy sets.

These will likely be the Ahsoka journey art cards considering one matches the preview. I wonder how many of these will be new art for this set versus previously in the trader app.

This is why they get away with putting out garbage like Solo. People are already forgetting about how badly they screwed people with that release. This release could be great, and I hope people enjoy opening and collecting it. Still, let's not pretend that Topps pooped out Solo after hiding the checklist and doing NOTHING to beef up the release.

I was excited about this because I thought it would be sketch heavy, perhaps 1 sketch per box.
Then I saw this:
Commemorative Patch cards with parallels of Blue (/199), Green (/150), Purple (/99), Orange (/25) and Red (1/1) parallels.
Do we really need 474 parallels of each patch? If there are 30 different patches that leaves us with over 14000 "hits" being parallels of patches. That's going to leave little room for sketches. Hopefully those numbers are incorrect.

I’ve always liked the Galaxy series in the past. It’s good to see another set coming out.

Lol. Solo is exactly why they made this announcement this week. A week after crapping the bed, they release details of a set that looks better and has built in nostalgia. I’m sorry, I’m not giving topps a pass.

And the patches thing stinks like high heaven. Never had patches in previous versions of galaxy. Means high production and upcharge so they can say 2 hits

Don't let the Ford teaser fool anyone. There will be like 5 in this set.

Honestly people should not preorder anything until Topps makes changes. But then again I'm talking to a majority of addicts lol.

It will be interesting to see the effect of Solo awful auto list will be on the pre orders.. and what’s nice is we have people here to be the reminders of how bad Star Wars is no matter how many times they say basically the same thing over and over.

But, they are right to that we really need to hold back pre ordering this and any other future release till they fix what they put in these...we need better than 5 copies of each big name and tons of lower end autos.

But doing stuff like art work by the Glebe brothers is a move in the right direction, which is all I mentioned above.

To people in the know, do distributers really pay attention to pre orders, or do they have just like a standing order with companies like Topps, and just obsorbe these crappy releases with stuff like bowman?

Very excited about this - my wife is one of the artists whose concept will be used as a base card. Very proud.

Same here. I love Galaxy. Still have a bunch I collected in the 90's. I'll wait to see CL and then decide, even if I have to pay a premium.

The amount of patches is staggering.

Patches. Geez. The lure of the galaxy 4, 5, 6, and 7 was sketches and sketchagraphs, artistic freedom via sketches, die cuts, 8 box cases and reasonable box pricing.

Are we just incorporating the “new wave junk” into what was once a great run of products. There were only six signers for G5 and not many signers for 6 & 7 as far as sketchagraphs went..

I want this to be good so bad. But I really doubt Topps can win me back over here.

It really sounds like the exact same format as all the other crap Topps has cranked out just with new artwork (which I’m looking forward too btw)

Best recent release of topps was black and white. It’s probsbly what 40th should have been. As soon as you hit 2 hit boxes, the msrp gets jacked up by like $20. No patch - except for the 1:1 is worth close to that

Bummer...Galaxy didn’t need this. I loved 4-6. Loved 1-3 even more. This doesn’t need gimmicks, just original art. I look forward to getting the set but I don’t need all of the fancy add-on accessories.
