Speaking of eBay sales...two of my COMC cards sold on eBay. I had a card listed at .50 and .75 sell. I received .40 and .60 respectively (COMC price minus 20%). The minimum Buy It Now on eBay is .99. I emailed customer service and they told me the difference goes to COMC and that I should raise my prices to $1.00 if I want to avoid this additional loss of profit.

COMC adds 25 cents handling, so the sweet spot is to price cards at .74 if you expect that they will sell on eBay. If it sells on eBay, it will show as a 60 cent sale on COMC. There are plenty of sellers who do this. You look at their port and they have thousands of cards priced at 74 cents.

The additional benefit to selling at 74 cents is that there are no storage fees.

There is no fee at 75 cents either.

I just started using the site again for the first time since a brief run in 2014. I seem to be doing pretty well from ebay sales which is cool. Is does help that my whole port is on ebay (Only about 250 cards). My biggest concern going forward is the damaged cards issue. I sent in a couple of submissions lately and haven't heard anything back from them yet. I have quite a few more cards that I'd like to send in, but I'm kinda waiting to see how this goes.

The thing that concerns me is that if you buy a card and then relist and someone notices a damaged corner or something they add the qualifier without telling you. I hate when I buy a card and relist and then later notice a qualifer. I have no idea if I bought it like that...I doubt it. Or if it just happened.

Better than it being returned, right? If I notice a damaged corner on a card, I shouldn't help everyone out by making it obvious to a buyer?

Does COMC let us buy/sell BenchWarmer cards or are those off limits?

OMG- went negative by <$10 with a huge, super early upload and have now consistently received an "insufficient funds" email every 15 minutes for the last 14 hours, they need to figure out Credit Card holds and their system- its super frustrating; especially since it will more than likely be a positive balance by the time I can add funds from their site.

They should just make people pay upfront for the shipments IMO like they did originally.

I am still holding out hope that they will lower the cash out fee in 2018 like they promised in 2016. I feel though that there is a better chance the cash out fee will increase rather than decrease.
I'm not a huge guy, but I cashed out and shipped like 20 cards back. Paid that $1700 in fees on the cashout, but I knew it going in they charged 20% so I had to stomach it. Still sucks lol, but beats scanning listing and shipping $1 and $3 cards all day.

Nope, unfortunately they're missing out on tons of submissions/sales with not allowing these to go through the site

Question about COMC website vs eBay - am I right in saying that on the site you can get flat rate shipping of 3.00 where as on eBay it’s always .25 for each additional card? Also are the prices different between the two? Basically am I better off buying directly from the site? For both myself and the selller? Thanks!

You're definitely better buying directly from the site. Sometimes a lot better. eBay is always full price whereas the site has sales almost constantly.

Assume 3 different 0.99 cent cards:

COMC:

.99+0.25
.99+0.25
.50+0.25 (50% sale)
-----------
+ 3.25 or whatever shipping.

eBay
------------
1.24 (they add the .25 cents into the price)
1.24 + 0.25 (and then they do 0.25 per additional card)
1.24 + 0.25 (and they do 0.25 per item)
-------------
+3.00 shippinng or whatever they charge

COMC also rounds all cards up to 0.99 on eBay. So a lot of those 0.99 cards are actually like 0.20 on the site.

Thanks. Iíve been playing around on the site and definitely some cards are cheaper. And the organization of the cards makes it much easier to find the inserts Iím looking for. Donít know why Iíve never really thought to go directly to COMC since Iíve been buying a lot from there lately. If nothing else Iíll save a bunch on the shipping. Thanks again.

You pay $3.99 shipping for the first card on eBay and .25 per additional card. This is the same price you pay on COMC for the Economy Rushed option.

You pay $3.99 for basic shipping on COMC or do the Economy rushed and pay the same as eBay ($3.99 + .25 per card).

If you are signed up to buy in basic mode, you don't even notice the .25 they add in to the price.

The advantage to COMC is that you can accumulate hundreds or thousands of cards and ship them all at that flat rate. They also pay you back $5.00 for every 100 cards you ship each month.

on ebay i'm pretty sure they add in the 0.25 cents twice. Items are listed on eBay as if you were in basic mode (0.25 included) and then with expedited shipping (+0.25 again)

So i guess what i meant to say was that on COMC you had the option of saving that second 0.25 if you're not in a hurry and don't want them out that week.
