I think he'll have a good year, always fun to watch. May have to make another trip to D.C.

Gotta admit.... his logo is pretty cool. Curious if he figured this out as a kid and picked #34 for this reason.

Spring training is spring training.. We all get that..

But when the guy could not hit the last 50 games.. IMO he was hurt..

Seeing power back is a really big deal. even if it is spring..

If he can just stay healthy is all he needs...

I'm interested to see how his body holds up as well. Looks like he packed on some extra muscle. Boy looks stout. And hopefully more lineup protection with Trea and company.

If we're being honest, after April he was horrible, it wasn't just the last 50 games of the year. In May he batted .200, and from May 1st onward (124 games) his basic stat line was: .235 AVG, 15 HR, 62 RBI.

That first homer of Spring Training. Woo wee.

I'm excited, I'm a Harper lover. He got me back into the hobby.

Funny how people forget he's only 24 and already has a MVP among other hardware.

How can anyone forget this when the Harper leg humpers constantly tell us about his age and MVP season?

No one forgets that. They also don't forget his 4 other mediocre seasons.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see him turn it around, but the sample size is big enough now to realistically temper expectations.

One of dozens - and of course in each one we are reminded that he is young and will only get better.

i made a 2016 thread and 2017.. I'm trying to consolidate it

Makes it fun.. You contribute a lot.. 100's of times..

You could say you bash him more then people bring up age?

But if you come into a Harper thread.. People are going to bring it up..

Lol, well to put it into perspective the baseball hobby (perhaps more than any other sport) is pretty much driven by age and early projection.

Same reason why Goldschmidt chrome autos go for peanuts compared to the almighty proven Corey Seager.

Almost too easy for him right now. But he's always traditionally owned in March/April.
