Default Why don't people ship well?

I know it's not a "high priced" trout for instance, but why do people ship cards like this.....

Yes, it was in a bubbler and surrounded by 6 cards, 3 on each side. Only!

Sorry, no, in a team bag, with the 3 cards on either side. But the cards was clearly loose in the case

Because the seller has read the 1,000,000,000 posts on here about not being a dick and using tape on the toploader.

So you're just saying he sent in a top loader that was too big? Just to clarify.

The last two thick cards I've purchased on eBay have been shipped in 10 Ct card cases where the cards were free to bounce all over the case in transit.

It's so annoying. I'd hate to tell someone how to ship a card but it's almost getting to that point.

Is the toploader the correct thickness?

I use a team bag, or blue tape. No need for a card to be sliding around the toploader. And I use a penny sleeve folded over for a magnetic 1 touch and thicker cards. Even tape over the magnets for further security.

Some people suck at shipping.

Yes, the card is clearly coming out of the top loader which is no good but otherwise it doesn't look like he did anything wrong.

Bubble Mailer Check
Team Bag Check
Surrounded by filler cards Check

I'm not sure what more you want?

Exactly. Unless the top holder was too big

This is how I ship all my cards

Looks like there's mixed opinion
Yes, I prefer any kind of tape, so that it prevents the cards to shake all over the place during transit.

If the card fit properly, I don't think I would mind no tape.

As long as there is a team bag folded tightly and no tape, its a positive shipping experience in my book.

^^This. While painters tape on the top-loader would be more secure, as long as the team bag fits and is properly folded over the top-loader, it will not damage the top of the card if the card slides up to it, at least in my experience.

I like to use the cardboard from frozen waffle boxes and the shrink wrap from ground beef.

Bubbler Mailer- check
Team Bag- check
Top Load- check
Soft sleeve- check
Filler cards to add rigidness- check

Looks good to me but could have added blue tape

Post-It started making sticky-notes with adhesive on the full surface on the back (aside from a small sliver at the bottom, for peeling). That's what I've been using to seal my singles when I ship. It's perfect. The card's not gonna go anywhere during shipping and it's extremely easy for the buyer to remove without damaging the card or leaving any schmutz on the top-loader.

You called it, #@#@#@#@ em' I tape the toploader (fold the tape for easy removal and use a small piece) put in a team bag with a cardboard dummy, if you are too cheap to buy your own replacement toploader that's not my problem!

At least the card was received as advertised that's all that matters.

I use packing tape to seal my top loaders, but I use a thin strip, and I always make a tape flap so you can easily peel it off. Doesn't impact the top loader one bit.

I recently had a lot of cards I won put in sleeves, then dumped into a padded mailer loosely! I have no idea how the cards arrived not damaged...

The annoying thing is that the Bowman autos are too thick for standard toploaders so you gotta use 55pt. Anything larger than 55 and it moves around.

Looks like the team bag did its job on this one. I tape cardboard on both sides of the team bag to make sure the team bag holds, though.

I'm on both ends of the spectrum. It really sucks when someone ships poorly and something gets damaged.

It's even worse when the seller packages a card like fort knox and I need to get tools to help me open. I've actually damaged a card before because of too much tape and a little impatience.

If the card is >$5 just put it in a top loader, throw a single piece of tape over the opening, put it in a team bag and something else to keep it rigid. It doesnt need 40 layers of scotch tape.
