Default I took a chance on a RAW 1953 Bowman Mantle

The title says it all. I was nervous thinking this could have been a bad move, but lucked out when I sent it in to get graded...

Sick pickup. Are you saying you could have overpaid if it didn’t grade out like you thought?

Yes, I paid $400 for it and thought I was taking a bit of a gamble, but luckily it paid out...

Nice score. With luck like that you should play the Powerball Lottery.

The winning ticket of the 570 million powerball was sold in Merrimack, NH - the next town over from me. Wish it was me!

I bought a lot of raw vintage cards off BOOMO on ebay and graded a PSA 9 1969 Johnny Bench and a PSA 9 1972 Lou Brock from it. I still have a few EX HOF RC's from that lot as well. I got it for under $150 total.

I find buying vintage from newer card sellers to be worth the risk as they don't really care about vintage.

A PSA 9 Bnech from 1969 Topps must go for crazy money. Nice pickup.
