Default Would you buy it.. ?

Hypothetical question. Probably will never happen due to the endless fighting and arguing over Copyrights, but...

Say Cryptozoic miraculously gets the rights to TMNT and decides to do a set with 1 sketch/box. They have no trouble getting all the usual top talent to participate.

Do you buy it?

I'd be interested in picking up sketches, but I wouldn't bust it.

I've been wondering why there hasn't been a TMNT product.

Tough call. I loved the 80s cartoon when I was a kid so I would probably buy singles related to those.

If the card designs were AMAZING I'd probably buy a box, and try to build a set. Doubt the sell Value on anything in it would be worth much, due to the fact that comic chars everyone knows...most people have no idea who TMNT are.

TMNT - Yes
GI Joe - Yes
Transformers - I think that is happening?
Ducktales - Yes

They have to be retro sets though.... Not based on these new incarnations that are out there. I love stuff from my childhood... hell, that's why I bought a box of MB1, pulled a sketch, and then started collecting sketch cards!

Yeah, I could've gotten more specific and said 'pre-1988 TMNT' but I would hope that if they did make a set, they'd have rights to the "old" likenesses as well.

Only if you could get sketches from Eastman/Laird...or if the set composition offered much more.

I'd love a set from 80's-90's Nick and Disney Cartoons..Wouldn't happen due to two different companies, but oh well :/

I'd buy a TMNT set.

As well as Ducktales, Talespin, Chip N Dale, and a few others

they need to come out with a movie reboot. I would bust only if the cards were based on the movies and included autographs and memorabilia cards and sketches would be cool too if they were really detailed and really limited

I agree with that. Imagine if Eastmen did one of his little turtle sketches as a redemption. Freaking sweeeeeeet!

If someone could get the licensing done, I figure the DragonBall,Z,GT - would be a great product. So many characters (transformations), battles, and sagas.

Apparently no need to be embarrassed about Ducktales... NICE! With the general success of Marvel Comic collectors card sets, I'm surprised we don't see more stuff licensed from Disney?

the next Star Wars and Indiana Jones sets that come out are licensed disney cards i would think. the Disney Treasures sketches are some of the hottest sketch cards on the market but are pretty rare.
