Default Who are you excited for in 2018?

The regular season is wrapping up and we'll be sending 20 teams home this weekend. Who sticks out in your mind as someone who took a step forward in 2017 and you're excited to see them play in 2018?

It could be a prospect who took a giant leap forward, a player already at the pro level who seems to be maturing or anyone that you are already looking forward to seeing next year?

A few for me

Tim Anderson - I think he was starting to figure out a few things at the plate. Ks are still through the roof but showing a slight improvement.

Matt Chapman - I have always wondered why he got no love from the time he was drafted. Showed flashes of power and the glove can't be denied.

Jacob DeGrom - We all knew he was good but there are starts where he looks like the best pitcher in baseball. Does he actually show that next season? Challenge Kershaw, Scherzer and CO. for the NL Cy?

Albert Almora - Homer pick but he deserves to be the everyday CF next season.

Jose Berrios - The Twins are a winning team again and I think he has ace potential.

Bumgarner/Syndergaard - These guys killed me in fantasy this year. Both are due to bounce back next season.

Want to see what Matt Olson can do in a full season.

Also I think Orlando Arcia will take a step forward next year.

Trout- Starting to hit his prime, this year would have been a monster without the injury.

Correa - Should be pushing trout for the MVP for the next few years.

Devers - Only 21 next year and could break out big time, just needs to get the defense under control.

Judge - Can he repeat his rookie season, maybe even get a little better with some consistency.

Benintendi - Solid rookie season, can he take the next step.

Gleyber Torres - Nick Senzel - Ronald Acuña to be promoted to the MLB

Aaron Judge - Cody bellinger to see if they can improve their RC seasons

Greg Bird - To see if his can bounce back up and be an important player for the Yankees

Kevin Maitan - Jason Groome to see how they keep developing for a possible 2019 call up

Mancini doesn't get much love, but he has been one of the most consistent bats on the Orioles this year. Looking forward to next year and definitely going to try and snag an auto card of some sort if I don't pull one soon.

Honestly, seeing if the young Twins core can take another big step forward like they did this year. We have so many young, talented players, if they all improve yet again, it's huge for the team. Buxton, Sano, Kepler, Rosario, Polanco, Berrios, and even Mejia, Granite, Garver, and a few bullpen guys like Hildenberger. Really excited to follow their growth

Outside of the Twins, Acuna and Senzel intrigue me. Guerrero Jr will also be fun to track, though he's probably not debuting next year
