I will create a new thread for the draft so hold of on picking until i can get that created So to finalize some things, we're going to have a 25 round draft where we can draft whoever whenever including minor leaguers. You can only draft four max minor league players. The keepers at the end of the year will 6 from your MLB roster and all 4 minors players, making 10 total. We can start the draft when dacubs is ready to pick so I'll get the other thread posted up tonight.

Everyone please check out the Espn league page and review the settings and points system to make sure it's what everyone wants. Good luck yall

just wondering, I know we have a while before the season, but are we on any sort of clock for the draft?? hate to have to try to rush it at the end...figure it usually takes longer in the mid and later rounds...the first 3 rounds should be easy...

There shouldn't be any clock right now, but once we hit March 20 or so we will have a better idea if we need to implement one.

I think if folks are diligent about PMing the next in line, this should go rather quickly...Good Luck everyone. Looking forward to a fun season

just wondering...am i correct that there is no transaction limit for the league. i want to make sure, since 1 possible strategy is to dump and acquire....some leagues allow it, some say its cheating....just wanted to see if i was looking at the correct setting

I agree. I think there should be a transaction limit to prevent the dump and acquire. If you draft poor & make poor choices that is on you. I was also curious, is there going to be draft picks associated with the keepers. Say, keeping a guy like Joey Votto means you surrender you first round pick the following year? Could be another way to make things interesting.

i think assigning draft picks that you forfeit would be hard to do...who's going to dictate what rd forfeiture the pick is, might be easier to leave it as keeping a certain number of players and be done with it

Yeah, probably. I think that set up works better for an auction style league now that I think about it, but I do agree on the transaction limit, either weekly or total to prevent the acquire & dump. I came in 2nd place in a league because of some owner doing that & it was really irritating.

Weekly would be good so it didn't screw someone in the end.

It is called streaming pitchers. If you have weekly lineups it is pretty much moot. With the league being so deep there won't be enough good players on the waiver wire to make it worth trying that strategy though.

Draft picks for keepers is based on the round they were drafted. We did not establish it predraft so I think at this ppoint we are looking at straight keepers.
