Do you guys think $1,200 for a hobby case ($100 per box) is already "too high"?
I have a chance to lock in a case at that price, but I'm not usually a prospector and it will be my first Bowman case if I pre-order this.
If Ohtani is confirmed for 2018 Bowman (and not the later Bowman Chrome), I can still see the prices going up, but not sure if the current price is already considered as having entered into a bubble.

Jumbo is out of my reach at BO (and feel there is higher risk of losing money at the current price point), and the other place I'm looking into have taken Jumbo off of their website.

The speculation is over. His agent's Instagram just posted a video of Ohtani signing both Topps Chrome and Bowman Chrome. Looks like he's hitting in the former, and pitching in the latter.

I don't see them doing this signing for a product that's at least 8 months away.

Well he’s going to be a little tied up from March through September, so this is probably the only time he can sign regardless of it’s going in Bowman or Bowman Chrome. Definitely hoping for Bowman but I’m still not 100% convinced, although it’s certainly looking good.

Just checked the website I was talking about and noticed that the hobby cases/boxes are now gone as well.

I agree. Why on earth would they leave his autos out of any product? It would be terrible business to do that. Jumbo case is now up to $1600 on BO.

Ugh, yeah I like opening Bowman but I'm not paying $115 a box for it. Not when I got in at $75 last year...in April.

I wanna get another case of Topps Chrome this year. Does anyone know when presales usually go live for products? 6 months before release or something?

If he's already signing Topps Chrome RC autos, I think it's safe to say he'll be signing Bowman Chrome RC's.

A&G minis also in the video.

Interesting that all we see in the video for Bowman were the base autos, and for Topps Chrome, just the base, refractor, and Super.
Possibly saving the color signing for another opportunity? Or maybe it is in the stack that he already signed.
I wonder if they will decide to cut any colors for him (such as no purple) to make him short printed.

Are we sure he is in 2018 bowman? Just making sure it’s not Bowman Chrome. Prices have shot up this morning so I’m assuming bowman? I want to lock in before they keep going up. Not trying to drive prices up but I could see a regular box going for $150-$200.

There is nothing indicating these autos are for Bowman or Bowman Chrome. It's all speculation and not wanting to miss the boat, but considering we are getting images of other players actively signing for Bowman that leads one to believe that these are for Bowman as well despite multiple other late summer release products being signed in the video.

I can't tell from the photo but is there a rookie logo on the Bowman?

I would have thought prospect auto for bowman and rookie auto for bowman chrome. That's how you get him into both!
