Default How Many of You's Wife/Significant Other Actually Like Sports?

How Many of You's Wife/Significant Other Actually Like Sports? Curious as my girlfriend will go to football/baseball games and buy herself Sox/Pats gear (we live in FL, but she's from MA like myself), yet when I'm watching a game, she has no interest in watching it AT ALL. I mean she'll do her nails, do laundry, watch paint dry, etc. On the other hand, she is good about leaving me alone so I can watch. My 5 year old, on the other hand ..........

My wife watches NFL games religiously with me and not just Packer games. Red zone is on all day Sunday.

haha, no, just fingernails..

She couldn't understand why I love college football, so I finally got her to go to a game with me and she was like "I guess it's exciting!"...Then again, that's her personality. When we first started dating, we were at an MILB game in the concourse and a foul ball was heading right for her and I caught it one handed like f***ing Ozzie Smith before it hit her. She goes, "Why are people clapping?"

My wife and I order pizza and watch red zone all day every Sunday. She even does Draft Kings lineups. We also try to visit a different MLB park every summer.

I told her at the end of our first date I was going to marry her (we went to a nice dinner, then went for drinks, then went to an underground poker game).

My wife likes to watch college football, mainly Nebraska, but since I'm an Iowa fan I always dread watching the Husker games with her. She's okay with baseball. I think she likes the atmosphere at the stadium a lot more than watching the games on TV though. I can't complain when we are going to Fenway as part of our honeymoon. She literally asked me what stadium I wanted to go to the most when we were first discussing the honeymoon.

Mine loves watching my favorite teams, she loves opening cards with me, she loves going to games, and if I asked her if we could drive 3 hours right now to look for retail blasters, she would go. I am a lucky man

My wife likes watching baseball in person. Could care less about any sports on tv. She has watched the winter Olympics some. In particular curling. In fact she is watching the men's gold metal rerun now.

Mine likes football, mostly because she can bet on it, so we watch a lot of that together. The other sports I like watching (Olympics, baseball, championships/grand slams in other sports), she has pretty much zero interest in.

My wife likes to keep up with the NBA and NFL. Not a diehard fan by any means. More of a casual hobby. She's not so much into cards. Expect for some reason when I can sell them for good money. Hahahaha

My wife loves the teams she loves, she is a big Packers fan, Indians fan. We go to baseball games quite a bit, and she will watch the Tribe on tv. We have the Sunday Ticket so we can not miss games (I'm a Giants fan, we live in PA). She plays fantasy football, has done Fanduel as well.

She hates hockey though, I can't get her to watch it at all. But it's great having a partner who enjoys sports, and more so, attending them in person. We are going to start the MLB ballpark tour eventually (we have done Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Yankee Stadium together so far - I did more before we met).

Been with mine for 28 years. 22 years marriage.
She has ZERO interest in sports other than watching our own kids.
If she goes to a game she is reading Real Housewives comments on her phone.
Might be able to name 5 players in basketball and Baseball. (And that would include retired players like Piazza, Shaq, Kobe, and Canseco)

She also knows Lonzo because of his dad. Also Trout and Pujols

I like it this way...trying to explain the importance of a game or a situation is pointless.

My wife likes watching sports to a limit. Usually by the time Sunday night football comes on she's burnt out from the previous day games.
Same thing with most other sports, especially when it comes to the end of season playoffs where there's a lot of games on each day.
Then it's off to play some silly game on her I pad or phone.
And I'm ok with that as I put up with a lot of her dumb cooking and reality TV shows, for a while.

She probably watches more sporting events and listens to more sports radio than I get to.

I hit the jackpot. My fiancee is hot and loves sports. She worked in Philly sports radio for 20+ years (WIP). She has a bunch of Philly star athletes that are friends. Although I'm a Pittsburgh guy it's been cool to meet many of them. She doesn't mind my Steelers winning but absolutely won't ever cheer for the Penguins. Hmmm, who would have thunk it, lol.

My bride loves watching the Patriots and enjoys marquee NFL Games.

She likes seeing the other sports in person and not so much on TV
