Funny seeing so many of the exact same things that were said about how Cleveland was going to beat NY said again about the Astros. Not sure how you can under-rate a rotation with Severino, Gray, Tanaka, Sabathia and that bullpen, but seems like plenty are doing that once again.

Yankees in 6. They win all 3 at home and lose the first two and take it home Game 6 in Houston.

Terrific. 4-4 game in the 9th and Girardi goes to Betances. Tell me how it fees after the first two pitchers hit the backstop.

Well just because the Indians made a bunch of mistakes and allowed runs and gave the series away, doesn't mean the Astros are going to fold so easily

I will stick with the underdogs (ala young and inexperience Yankees).
Stop...just stop.

Sabathia, Fraizer, Gardner, Ellsbury, Didi, Gray, Tanaka, Robertson, Chapman and on and on and on....more than enough vets to handle the playoffs on this roster.

If need be, Kahnle will pitch the 9th over Betances at this point. Most likely Betances will get his first appearance in a not so high leverage situation to see where he's at. This is common sense, no? Do you even baseball bro?

I see. You're thrilled Betances is as fresh as a new haircut so he can pitch in low-leverage situations.

Now that's confidence.

They should have beat them in 4 games. Id be scared that severino came back out and looked like his cy caliber self... if hes pumping 100mph the firdt 5 or 6 innings and hands it to green, robertson, chapman this could leave a lot of people asking " what just happened?".

Grey tanaka, severino could all toss 0-2 run complete games

It's not under rating ... Severino was great all year. CC has had an amazing end of career resurgence. Gray and Tanaka are not particularly scary pitchers to face - in fact despite a few great games, Tanaka was terrible most of the season. The Yankees had a worse offense than the Astros [as did every one else]...again, not opinion, a fact.

Could the Yanks win? Sure, anything is possible in the playoffs. See Cleveland's most recent choke, or the 2004 ALCS for examples. Astros rotation with Verlander is just better imo. Season ERA was 3.98 to 4.03 in favor of NY, but most of that is without JV.

Bullpen Yanks habe the advantage, but Boston had a better bullpen this season using ERA, and so did Cleveland. Look where that got them.

Not picking the Yankees isn't under rating them. The Astros were clearly a better team all year long, and should win the series. Doesn't mean they will, but they're definitely the team that should be favored.

Hoping that Houston wins the ALCS & then the WS. The Astros want it & Houston needs it.

The way i see the houston series is this. The yankees pitchers show up and pitch how theyre capable and they win. Tanaka is highly underrated and when hes on his game is cy caliber, gray is as well, and severino. Cc is the stopper. Id use him like pettite. The offense of the astros gets a slight edge. Yankees bullpen is better. I said the yankees are the best team in baseball and truly believe that. Any player can go off and have a huge game at any point. Speed, power, average. Theyre highly dangerous. Hopefully we can get a huge lead to get warren in a game, but dont force it. You might end up seeing a bullpen use drob, chap kahnle for 6 innings a game for the entire post season.
I know you are a Yankee fan, but you really believe they're the best team in baseball? Based on what exactly? They weren't the best team in the division, the league or MLB. Didn't have the best pitching, best bullpen or best offense in baseball. So how do you objectively rank them #1?

Do you even watch the games, grey sucks. That's two loses and use of the pen with his starts.

Sonny Gray a scratch. Likely won't start in the series.

Yankees going Tanaka and Severino in Houston.

Dude, c'mon. Look at all other hitters

Lindor, Ramirez, Santana, Brantley - All of them had owned Tanaka....until the Playoffs

http://www.espn.com/mlb/player/batvs.../4553/teamId/5

Even against CC, Indians hit almost .290. What you did during regular season means nothing in the playoffs

http://www.espn.com/mlb/player/batvs...0981/teamId/10

Look at Kluber against the Yankees during the regular season. He had pretty much owned them. How did that work out for him during the playoffs?????

Do you STILL want to make this argument???

Just a heads up, you're arguing with a guy who loses more money on prospecting then most people make at their jobs per year. I'd rather take baseball advice from the girl running register 8 at Target then this guy
