Default Escape from Jesus Island

Guys,
I might be late on this one, but the premise seems pretty cool. I see the Phantom variant around, but when did/does this one get released? Very "Island of Dr Moreau" feel to it. And I loved that movie.

Actually I think, in a round about way, that was my question.....so the Phantom gets released before the regular version?

I believe I read somewhere that there is only the phantom variant or maybe the phantom gets released earlier. Don't remember.

Not sure, but I picked up a couple Phantoms, it's selling like hotcakes already. If there's any outcry and press about the subject matter (Cloning Jesus), you can expect demand to increase.

A limit of 100 per Phantom retailer. If you're on the fence, I'd get in soon as it could easily sell out.

I need to find out how many Phantom retailers there are, but Graham Crackers is already sold out.

From what I understand from the owner's previous posts is that it is a program called First Friday (but it is coming out on the third Friday). The phantom variants will only be available for one month. I don't believe this just like I don't believe the name First Friday.

Also, the print run for the phantom variant is the exact same as the print run for the regular cover.

Hrm.. then maybe they're only giving 100 to each retailer as the article said they only had 100 per retailer. I guess someone is hoarding all the other copies, or this book is super short printed. Then again, I don't know how many retailers there are. I'll click the link above and look.

Roughly 45 Retailers x 100 = 4500 copies - not huge.

If they truly wanted to start some press, they should have declared the release date as "Good Friday"

Copy and paste from CGC forum. For those who don't know LarrysComics is the owner of phantom variant.

Escape from Jesus Island 1 Phantom Variant | eBay

48 sold, 26 available. So they only put 26 in the store if the limit is 100? That seems weird.

Okay, those numbers don't add up, unless he means retailers that have multiple stores only get 100 total.

I don't know how up to date that list of retailers is also. I know three dropped out this week according to BleedingCool. And the two by me also dropped out.

Is the cover price $11.99? That seems crappy for the actual retailers of the book to be gouging if it isn't

Hahaha

I was just playing coy. Larry was railing on about kicking retailers out of the program that mark his variant's prices up above cover, and then out of the other side of his mouth he was huckstering third eye's eBay page.

I just can't send a single red cent to this guy.

I'm glad all you guys will make $$ off the book.

He's seriously a joke. Go back pages in the phantom variant thread on CGC and he says to shop around because shops are all charging different prices. And the Helheim incident when he charged the one person like $7-8 an issue and stuffed 20 of them in a flat rate envelope with no bag, board, or shipping protection.

Indy burned him on CGC after his illogical response to Indy's post. Then he humped and the post poofed
