Default Lebron & Probstein

I found this interesting, either Probstein is losing his touch or Lebron prices have really dropped after the finals.

So it appears a buyer won the below card in open auction for $2,600:

Lebron James Exquisite Auto Patch 7 35 BGS 9 5 10 2007 08 Cavaliers UD Gem Mint | eBay

Then tried to sell it via Probstein a month later, I guess hoping for the usual Probstein mark-up. But card closed at $1,700, so almost $1k lower only a month later and via Probstein !

2007 08 Exquisite Lebron James Cavaliers 3 Color Patch 7 35 BGS 9 5 w 10 Auto | eBay

Have Lebron prices really dropped this much post the finals loss, and were just very hyped during the playoffs ?

Can't be that Probstein is losing his touch, he's still boasting from record sales across high end !!

I found it interesting...

Lebron cards got cooled down a little bit after the playoff ended. We can see there were so many LeBron cards for sale before the season ends, because that period was the best time to make money from. People thought LeBron could win an another title this year but unfortunately Cavs got too many men injury, otherwise LeBron cards could reach an another level if he wins the title.

All boasting need fundamental factors to support, but for the king now...all factors gone. The boast is rather weak now.

Just stick with his Topps Chrome rookie cards, you will easily see the markets. I got a BGS 9.5 Topps Chrome with four 9.5s for the subs early last year for around $200, but now the price is about $270 with those subs. Again, LeBron cards won't go down for sure. He has already became the top five players of all time. Besides MJ, Magic, Bird and LeBron, was there anybody else who's got more than two MVPs in the past two decades?

Steve Nash and Tim Duncan. Magic and Bird didn't get any in the past 2 decades

I was saying more than two MVP awards, Karl Malone also won two times.

Lebron's prices have softened a little. I just paid $300 for a really clean PSA 10 Topps Chrome rookie. (Not from Probstein)

I also bought a BGS9.5 one with sick subs for about the same price a couple of weeks ago.

Everything is down, not just Lebron's stuff. Only stuff trending will probably be Warriors.
