LOL, that is amazing, and he crushed that thing. I'd love to see him continue to improve and actually take a run at the majors. If he does, I'm finding a place that will allow wagers on him homering in his first AB. Seems to be a theme.

Interesting article.

Tim Tebow’s minor league numbers now better than handful of Top 100 prospects. Tim Tebow may be closer to flirting with a Major League call-up than some people may think.

The Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback turned minor league baseball player has turned things on as of late, and he may be positioning himself to force the hands of the New York Mets on what is quickly becoming a “now or never” decision on trying the 30-year-old outfielder at the big-league level.

During his last 10 games with Double-A Binghamton, Tebow has launched 2 home runs to go along with a .333 batting average, .429 on-base percentage and a .567 slugging percentage.

His strikeouts are insane, though.

That is the rub. But... silver lining, he is playing lights out.

Aaron judge is an elite talent compared to Tebow

But judge has 215 hits and 306 strike outs

Nobody cares about k’s

Except, of course, the Houston Astros, who intentionally worked on their strikeout problem on their way to winning a World Series.

LOL.. Tebow's struck out 52 times in 112 AB's. That's 46%!

I love Tebow for a lot of things, but suceeding at AA Ball is still a big leap from the bigs. I'd much rather see someone doing very well all season (.259 ave), but for sure the hot streak helps the numbers and does help get his name mentioned.

I still think it's amazing that he's even gotten to a point where it's a legit conversation. I didn't figure he'd make it past rookie ball, given how long it had been since he played competitively. He may not be a 'real' prospect, but what he's doing is no joke.

This dude could hit .440 with 40 HR's this year and people would still want to cut him down and keep him in the minors. Its amazing the hatred people have towards him simply because he is outspoken about his religion. When other power hitters strike out people overlook it because that is what power hitters do. Its accepted. But if Tebow strikes out that is all we see. The hypocrisy is unreal.

What about the people that aren't rooting for him to fail, yet realize his strikeout rate is brutal, even in the current baseball world of extremely lax K standards?

I think if he finishes the year at .440 with 40 home runs, then people will take notice.

Everyone isn't but the majority are. Just read the threads. It is more than obvious.

I was being facetious to make a point. He would still have people saying he did not deserve a call up and it would just be a publicity stunt.

hell yeah they would. Topps gets an on card auto from Tebow and it'll be a huge hit. The market is there for him. Can't deny that.

People crushed Kaepernick for his outspoken sociopolitical beliefs...why can't Tebow get crushed for loving the baby Jesus?

Is this that hypocrisy you were referring to?

I see Tebow as a legitimately good guy who loves the Lord, which motivates him to do things like help others. I'm totally rooting for him and hope he goes far!

May I introduce Exhibit A of previous stated hatred. I'll stop responding now as I have no desire to get into a back and forth.

I don't hate Tebow, not at all. He was an incredible college quarterback and a blast to watch.

If he wants to use sports as a platform to promote his beliefs, then so be it. Of course, I also believe that Kaepernick is allowed the use the same platform to express his as well.

I'm not a religious guy and I know plenty of people who find solace in religion. Whatever works for you.
