I get it, he is young, nervous was having issues - but that was a TERRIBLE interview.

TERRIBLE.
I blame the interviewer more to be honest. He HOUNDED the kid from the get go.

What do you want him to say? Lebron didn't call him and that was the question

Throws him under the bus? Lebron deserved to be thrown under the bus if this is true. The absolute least he could do is give him a call to congratulate him. Heck, if it were me I think he should've gone to a summer league game or two like a lot of the other players to support him. Shows that he's wanted and makes him feel appreciated. Not even giving the kid a call? Some leader he is. Obviously showing he wants to part of Wiggins in Cleveland and is trying to make a point to ownership that he wants Love at all costs.

You will quickly find out lebron that love won't be the missing piece

Can stand players who cry about and wine til they get their way and go to a better team.

The cry baby will hate living in Cleveland and will demand another trade if they don't win soon. Also can't wait to watch the baby play zero defense.

Once again, real nice move lebron by not calling wiggins. Should be ashamed of yourself

I admit, I really wanted to see Lebron succeed in Cleveland...but after him seemingly purposely omitting Wiggins out of his 'announcement speech,' I pretty much want to see them fail. And I really hope Wiggs goes on to make Cleveland regret the decision.

Wiggins (thinks to self what a dick, I'm not answering that) responds: sorry I didn't hear you, what was the question.

And then he repeated the question except it had even more waffle.

ESPN try that question on Lebron, Kobe or any Vet in the NBA and see what kind of response you'll get.... And kid's stay in school? At least he finished his freshman season in college? Unlike Kobe, Lebron, KG, DH, ect..
I think Panini really needs to go back to school.... THEY FORGOT THE L IN CEVELAND ON HIS JERSEY....

Wiggins was more than eloquent compared to an MKG interview at the same stage.

I blame his agent for having allowed that interview to be granted to begin with. He shouldn't be in front of a camera or subjected to reporters until the situation is resolved, whichever way it goes. To me, it did make the Cavs and LeBron look a bit trashy by having him out of the loop when he's at this event representing the organization. Too bad for his collectors that the first 10 products of the year will likely have him in the wrong uniform because of this stupid rule.

Wiggins came off as an extremely polite and genuine kid. Looking forward to watching him play this season.

"We haven't had a chance to connect."

"We are both busy."

"I haven't had a chance to call him yet."

Pro Tip: Don't put the face of your team and the NBA on blast in your first interview.

I hope the kid succeeds too, no matter where he ends up.

This interview could have been a product of poor communication, terrible timing, trashy reporting or a combination of all them. To me, and just my opinion, his answers came off very "me" focused and that everyone in the NBA owes it to him.

Could just be me, though.

I think his ear piece was just messed up. Must be tough not knowing your future as a rookie.

Um... you completely blanked on that interview. He said what you wanted him to say in the interview. He said Lebron hasn't talked to him. He's also been too busy to call anyone, so he can only imagine how hard it is for Lebron.

He wasn't me focused at all. He didn't say he didn't want to play for the Cavs. He said he wanted to play for the team that wants him. Its diplomatic. What if he ends up on the Wolves? This interview lasts forever. The fans blast him, media paints him as a malcontent, his career is over before he has a chance to have any support. He might sign on for the vet minimum for another 3 years after his rookie contract, but if he is able to flourish like he should, it would have cost him 3 years of his life and tens of millions of dollars.

You need to watch that interview again. You obviously didnt see it right.
